Great knives... Great for detail work

Wanna love them, but I can't
I really want to like these tools, and this American company - that's why I bought them in the first place. But I had two disappointing issues with this set:- one of the gauges was actually shaped like a skew - it was so weird i had to laugh;- another chisel was set in the handle at a slight angle (i.e. not pointing in the same direction as the handle. This HAS to be the most annoying thing for a carver. If you get one like that, return it or take the loss. If you try to straighten it, it will snap.I really want to buy US made tools as much as possible, but I can't support this kind of incompetence. I just know for a fact that such a defect would not ever leave a Japanese/German factory and it would be scrapped immediately. Setting a chisel in a handle straight is not rocket science.I keep telling myself that they are not representative of the company's products, and they were probably defects that escaped the factory packaged .... I took a long time to open them and I can no longer return them. Caveat emptor.

Good product for the price
Nice for doing detailed carving. Very lightweight but very stable.
