Hello, it's not a dumb question. Caucasian hair gets dry too. The product penetrates the hair shaft to provide the moisture needed and seems to have the oil in it. So you may not have to use as much but I think your hair will like it. Now I'm not a scientist and each head of hair is different so you may have different results. Much success!

Castor oil by itself on the scalp or even for over plucked brows is said to restore growth, I used it once and my scalp felt amazing. I haven't used this product yet but hope it has great results. According to the reviews it's great, but Olaplex isn't a conditioner, it's a scientific restoration of damaged hair.
