Note pad
Love this expensive but worth it battery lasts a long time and nibs are great if you buy on the deal, well packaged and easy instructions to follow for set up

Too expensive for what it does.
Rubbish. Can't understand why di expensive. It's slow, poor quality screen. I should have just bought an ipad

Not as good as I hoped it would be - maybe colour one is better
Ok but not as good as I hoped, especially for the money. Feel is good but it’s slow for example to respond to actions and when you’ve filled a page it doesn’t move down easily for the next page or slide back up quickly or easily if you want to check something. The own brand leather cover looks nice but doesn’t fold back so is a costly item that is actually getting the way and making it harder to use . I suspect I’ll return it. A shame as I was very hopeful it would totally change my way of working as I go through a lot of paper note books.

Three out of five - but getting there...
I may have to update this review after a while longer as I am still in the early days of using it. Whatever I end up thinking about it I think it's certainly over-priced - I certainly would not have paid the £700-plus here on Amazon. I opted not to get a hard case for it - using a material sleeve instead and will add info if that does not work out. The main reason I bought it is that when I'm at work I can no longer get paper prints of certain bulletins that I need. OK, I hear you say, just view them on your laptop or phone. Good answer, but I need to add notes to them as I go along and whilst I can begin to do that on my phone (and probably on an iPad if I had one), it's all a bit fiddly on those and the battery life is not as good as this - supposedly two weeks but I've not had enough regular use out of it yet to confirm that. I like the fact that I can compile PDFs on my Mac, upload them onto the remakable for reference and then annotate them. Then I can download them to my Mac and add / compile more pages. Sounds a little faffy maybe but I'm just pleased I can do that. I've not worked out yet if you can combine files on the remarkable itself though - that would be the best / easier thing. Page re-arranging is a thing on the remarkable but not sure about merge. It's a good weight and fairly ergonomic. I like the writing experience and am enjoying working with the various templates which are really helpful. You can use your own PDFs as templates too. The subscription to the server might be an issue in a year's time although I think you can also upload files via usb but I have to say that the upload on-line is very quick and easy. It means you can manage your files on the device itself or on your Mac/PC via the web login - it synchs right away as long as you have internet access. I've also uploaded some pdfs that I'd done for my Kindle when I had it - In this case some cd/lp notes which were too small to read on the kindle but much easier on the remarkable. The only thing I have a slight issue / frustration with at the moment is the zoom which I use when annotating some documents. This function seems to lag sometimes although it might be me not using it properly. I do love the idea that you can write a note and then amend or bin it whenever you like. It's great. Also love the idea that it's keeping handwriting alive to some extent. There's the option to type as well but the "keyboard" is awkward and in all honesty this is a writing-slate, not a laptop! I'll amend this review as I find new things but on the whole I'm happy with it right now - just a tad expensive! UPDATE: Enjoyed using the tablet but ultimately had one issue with it. The problem is that for my work I often need to have more than one sheet of paper in front of me... The ReMarkable works for one of those but if I was needing to reference two at once then I would need a print of one of the sheets. That's the big stumbling block for me - handwritten sheets therefore are still the thing I use. Granted it's useful to have them stored electronically somewhere in an archive for retrieval but I can do that with scans/pdfs. Ultimately then not a replacement for paper and pencil. My latest pad of paper cost me £3.99 and I'll probably never have to buy a pencil again as we have loads kicking around the house. The maths and the practicality make it a return to the "old ways" for me.

Nothing special
A bit disappointed. Very basic for high price

Does what it claims BUT
Only given it one star because although it is an advance in digital technology and generally does what it claims to do. it is simply not usable in anything other than fairly strong light. Any lower lighting conditions and you are likely to get eye strain. It is not like looking at a tablet screen. The reason for this is that there is no backlight. This has been sacrificed in order to make the device as slim as possible, but the result is a compromise too far. A pity.

I have researched the death out of tablets with paper-like feel for years. I finally pulled the trigger on the Re-Markable as it appears to be the best product out there. I am not disappointed.

Producto devuelto. No puede leer ni en la oscuridad ni con luz tenue. La respuesta táctil muy deficiente. A la tercera avanzaba la página. Sin embargo, la escritura era muy natural.

Five stars? Four stars? I think after using the device for a bit what I'm realizing is that it can be a useful tool in my arsenal, but also I can't expect it to solve all my problems. Sometimes in meetings, typing notes on a laptop is frowned upon - I can use a notebook and transcribe later or find another path. The ReMarkable seems to work well as a middle ground. Writing notes by hand, and then converting later seems to work pretty well -- 95% -- whether I'm using ChatGPT or doing conversion via the device itself. I still need to verify the conversion either way but it's much faster than transcribing my notes. The weight of the device is excellent, so much lighter than my iPad Pro. There isn't a backlight, nor is there color, but I haven't found that I need either of those things. Writing is clear and the device is responsive and not laggy at all. The screen refresh is something you get used to and not detrimental to enjoyment of the device -- you slowly grow to understand what actions will result in a refresh, and expect it. Battery life is amazing, of course.
