It's a lamp
The beauty of this model, I used it to replace an Optoma HD20 lamp assembly, is the modular design makes the task quite easy. It is simplicity's definition: Unscrew three screws, removes the outer casing of the unit, and releases the lamp module-- then slide the new unit in place and reverse the screwing process (not meant to sound as dirty as it does).The lamp, not on low power mode, puts out a strong, bright image with all the sharpness, clarity, and vibrant color as the original lamp (if not better). Additionally, I felt this was a steal at the price this seller offered, given previous purchases. This is my second Optoma HD20, and my forth Optoma projector, and these lamp assemblies are one of the stronger points of the company, and that they aren't strictly proprietary makes secondary market-- like this one-- possible and available. As long as the projector continues to run, I will continue to buy lamp assemblies like this.I am quite pleased with this purchase.

the new backup item was performing it great functions.
The lamp with housing was more convenient for us,cause we do not need compatible with the separated bulb and housing.Even the old original house was optional, but we did not know how to install and match them successfully. Till yesterday,the new backup item was performing it great functions.

30 days for outstading working from this product
Item was delivered after 3 days,it came to me with a higher speed.That is awesome for me,I could never imagine that. With my detailed reading installation instruction from on line. I spent only 10 minutes or so,successfully replaced the old defective one. The brightness and sharp pictures were recovered as ever before.

Very good product!
The bulb came packaged very well. There was no damage to the outside. Inside was perfect. I pulled the old bulb out of the projector and inserted the new one. Reset the hour timer on the projector. When testing I found the new bulb to be exactly the same in brightness and clarity as the original bulb. This was an easy do it yourself project and I saved a ton of money.

Picture is now as sharp and as bright as when the set was new.
My original 8 year old bulb finally and rapidly began to dim. So I decided to buy a new replacement bulb. I was surprised to find this replacement bulb available at such a reasonable cost. Installation was straightforward, took minutes. Picture is now as sharp and as bright as when the set was new.

Easy installation,perfect compatibility, Valuable for what I paid
The lamp is very easy to install in my projector from Optoma and fully meets my expectations in terms of image quality. Price / performance is all great! My old lamp had about 2500 hours on the hump, I hope this lamp also delivers about 2000h!

Better than the original
If your Optoma projector bulb is blown like mine was, I wouldn't waste time looking for cheaper alternatives. Up and running in less than 15 minutes and picture looks amazing again like when I first bought the projector. Taking home directly, I consider it an excellent result.

Value for what I paid
I have bought this replacement lamp for my Optoma HD23. The installation I made myself, a small screwdriver to get the installation easily. Less than 30mins.The lamp produces a clear unsaturated image unlike the previous 3rd party bulb I purchased for my Optoma projector. Very pleased with the results and would buy again.Came well packed and fast delivery.
