These are good. No more plastics for coons and squirrels to chew on.Only issues were the mounting brackets were bent on both feeders I bought. The packaging isn't good enough to protect from UPS and Fed Ex deliveries. And the door has to be locked. If you don't put something in the lock hole, coons open the door.This is tough, was to operate and set and easy to mount.Update: I liked these because they threw feed pretty far.But they lasted less than 1 deer season.Once good hunting weather showed up, these failed.Batteries are charged, feeder full, controler shows everything correct, i can test and it throws feed. It just dont throw feed when in normal mode.I put 6 different fees times about an hour apart to test and still didn't throw feed.2 stars cause of ease of operation and tough metal box.But for the price I can buy 2 plastic cheapo spreaders that last about 3 seasons. Not 1/2 season.

Boss buck feeder review
Feeder is powerful and week built. Easy to connect, program times and set up. Only issue I have with 2 models I purchased is the latch lid / panel lock was broken on both when arrived. It’s not a shipping UPS thing. I found the box the feeder comes in has some play and the latch sticks out and continues to hit the sides during shipping. It’s only held on with a cheap rivet. (See photo). It’s not a big deal. And lastly the 4 screws that hold the unit to the barrel are self tapping, i felt the unit would not be held securely to the barrel with them. So I bought bolts with locking nuts. See photos

Controller is easy to set.
Well built and easy to use. It is just a little wider than the units we were replacing so we had to adjust (bend) the arms to get it to fit the holes. We will be replacing all of our units over time with this design.

Got this 12v feeder motor to replace a crap 6v, works every time at the time you program and programming is easy as well

Bent
The mounting arms were bent when the box was opened. I straightened them enough to be used. I don’t plane on adjusting them so I hope it holds up
