I bought this item from amazon seller and just within 2 months its stitches started coming off.. it came with 5 year warranty but when contacted seller they don't provide any warranty and manufacturer provide it only if its purchased directly from them..so bottom line DO NOT BUY...and if you have to buy it from another seller or different website... DO NOT BUY IT FROM HERE... i am attaching picture too..

Don't buy this!!!
This product screems fake all over the place. I highly doubt this is an original Swiss Gear product. Quality is horrible. Its even missing some logos, comes directy from China and is not even the same model on as the pictures. I own other Swiss Gear and Wegner pieces and are by far better built. Amazon should pull the default seller from this item. It seems im not the only one with the problem, check other pictures as well...

Sturdy, roomy and well organized!
This is the perfect backpack for me. I would be happy to use it for as long as it will last and from what I can tell, that will probably be a very long time.Some of the features I LOVE:1) it has several pockets which make organizing the bag much easier. The small front pocket is perfect for a wallet, cell phone, etc. The middle medium pocket can hold much more and even has a series of small nonzipping pockets which I use for pencils, eraser, pens, and my earbuds. The large main pocket is LARGE. I could probably fit 3 large textbooks if not more. The laptop pocket is large as well. My 15" Dell fits in there along with its charging cable with lots of extra space. The only part of the design I really don't understand is how the laptop pocket can be zipped off completely. This is appartently to make airport travel easier, but airports have always required me to remove the laptop from the bag entirely, so really I found no use for this feature and I have traveled with this bag quite a bit.2)There is a keychain holder in the middle pocket. I LOVE this. It is so easy for keys to get lost in a backpack, especially one of this size, but that is never a problem with this feature.3)The materials in this backpack are top-knotch. First of all, I'm not sure if this is supposed to be water-resistant, but I've never had a problem with water getting through the material. Also, it is a sturdy material. The straps are comfortable which is important considering this backpack can get quite heavy when full. The zippers also seem quite sturdy and I've never had a problem with them getting stuck or catching. This is also probably because the capacity of the backpack is so great, I never have to stuff it full to get everything I need into the backpack.4) The water bottle pockets! They are deep and can stretch wide allowing for all sizes of bottles to fit without falling out! I have had backpacks in the past where my bottles were always falling out. Sometimes this would happen while on the bus and it was quite frustrating.5) I also really lik eth elook of this backpack. It is simple and does NOT look cheap.Really I can't think of any negatives about this backpack. It's all good.

High quality, Convenient backpack.
I have been using SwissGear backpacks for more than 2 years. Bought this one for my brother. He was very happy to see it and says it's very light and feels high quality. So many pockets help organize things properly and an open packet on the side for water bottle helps a lot. A separate compartment for Laptop keeps it safe from any scratch and easy to put the laptop quickly and take it out. Haven't used the smart Scan feature at the airport. Will try some time to actually see if TSA allows the laptop to be in the bag. If you are looking for a branded, high quality bag for daily use, thus bag is the best value for money.If this review help you take a decision, Plz mark it helpful. Thanks.

Good value for the price. Add a couple of accessories to increase the utility.
I fly twice a week and refuse to pay the "I'm not a terrorist" fee so I need a TSA friendly laptop bag or backpack. ScanSmart means your laptop stays in a dedicated pocket which, when unzipped, unfolds completely away from the rest of the backpack. Whenever TSA yells that my laptop needs to go in its own bin, I just unzip the ScanSmart section of the bag (like opening a clam all the way) and that silences them immediately. On the other side of the scanner, I just zip up my bag and throw it on my back. I am shocked that in 10 years I have never seen another person do this to at least speed up their time at the scanner just a little bit.I wasn't a fan of this bag having two zippers dedicated to just the laptop, but I've come to appreciate it. One zipper is for storing and accessing the laptop day-to-day while the other is used for opening the bag flat at TSA. I added a bright red "Remove Before Flight" keychain (Amazon item number B00XWIY7WO) to the zipper I need to pull at TSA for added flair and to give a unique look to my bag in a sea of black bags. I also added zipper pulls (Amazon part number B013OAWHZI) that were included with my last bag -- I didn't even know you could buy them!The side pockets for an umbrella and bottle of water are nice and deep with firm webbing. The iPod pocket with an earphone pass-thru port is also handy.I deducted one star because the stitching around at least one zipper was already loose upon arrival. I have strings hanging inside the smallest front pocket. Definitely worth it at a reasonably low price. EDIT: In looking at Keepa, I am *stunned* that this bag ever sold for close to $250. This is barely a $50 bag.
