This journal is of good quality. The pen isn't as much. As I write with it, the ink tends to stop randomly so words are missing bits and pieces here and there. So even though it is cute, it doesn't work well. If you are right-handed, I find that when I flip the page over to write on the backside, I need to take it out of the binder because the binder loops are in the way, the pages are too small to be able to efficiently write with the page attached to the loops. It is a little inconvenient, but nothing I can't work with. Overall i do enjoy it and it is of a decent size to fit in your purse, it is not a bulky size.

Pen writes smoothly and no skips. Paper thicker than I thought it would be. Nice cover but tie does not keep flap closed. Still thinking how to adjust it to keep flap closed

It does have a strong leather scent to it, which doesn't bother me personally. It feels like suede which I have to get used too, but it does not scratch easily. No pen holder or pockets- I guess because it's not an A6 portfolio, it's just a journal.And it doesn't really hold a lot of paper because the binder rings are small and shallow. I fit 80 pages into it (took a photo to show this). That said, it's a journal - it'll do what it's supposed to, and if you like to have multiple journals like me, the price is alright.

I really liked my lined writing journal, the quality was very good, I would have given 5 stars if the binder rings were not so shallow. It was difficult to add the divider's and the pockets that came with this journal, of which I was delighted to receive. So I took out some of the paper so I could accommodate the divider's & pockets! I did like the packaging that the journals came in. I bought 2 one as a gift and the recipient loved hers too!
