Good, basic, adjustable workout bench
PROS:Good, basic, adjustable workout benchSeat easily adjusts to three positionsSeat back easily adjusts to 5 positionsPositions are comfortable and practicalRated up to 800 lbs2 year warranty on all parts, including seat cushions/coveringsCONS:Conseptually easy, but practically difficult assemblyBottom pin did not stay in place on my bench (I replaced it with a stove bolt)Thin vinyl seat coverings may wear over time (but has 2 year warranty)No accessories availableThe Feierdun Weight Bench is a reasonable introductoary adjustable bench for your home workout room. The base of the bench is made from tubular steel. The chair and back are composite wood covered with foam and a black leather like vinyl. The steel appears to be of a reasonable gauge that will take a good amount of beating. It is not the highest gauge steel, but for a home gym this is not bad--unless you are pumping a monstrous amount of weight, the 800 lb limit is more than enough for most, and the lighter-weight steel makes this easier to lug around your basement. The seat material is anchored stably enough, but does wobble a bit if you are doing push ups off the bench. My major concern for longevity, though, would be the vinyl covering--it is well tacked down but appears thin. It will last you a bit but my guess is it will wear down and tear within a year or two if you really use this thing to the max. (Of note, Feierdun's two year warranty applies to the seats and pads as well, so you might be covered there...)It is mostly preassembled, so the major chore is joining the hinge that connects the top of the chair with the bottom. Putting this together should have been trivial, but is more than an awkward fit. I've put together a lot of equipment and getting the three dimensions of this was still very difficult for me. It's not that the instructions are not straight forward, it's just that if you don't know the exact angle, you cannot insert the two pins. That said, the bottom pin was way too loose for me. As you don't need to move either pin to adjust the seat or the back, I"m not sure why they didn't opt for bolts instead. I replaced the loose pin with a stove bolt and I've never looked back. The leg assembly was trivial to put together. All-in-all you could probably construct the thing in 5 minutes if the main hinge wasn't so hard to visualize--with starts and stops and multiple looks at the assembly sheet, I finally got the thing together. The seat adjusts to three different positions and thee back to five. Both work smoothly. You can set it up for decline sit ups, flat for dumbbell presses, and multiple angles for sitting curls or other work. This is a simple piece of equipment that can really enhance your workout. As noted above, the seat pads wobble a bit if you do push ups off of them, but otherwise this was rock solid for bench work. What's missing? Lack of any opportunities for expansion. There is no place to connect a barbel rack or a place to connect a dipping or pullup station. The leg set up is just a place to hook your feet to anchor for decline sit ups, so there is no real place to add a leg station. That said, this is meant to be a basic bench and not a component of a full-on workout station. This is a great addition to any gym and it looks like Feierdun has put it up for sale at a reasonable price point. This is a good, basic, adjustable bench that will serve you well for some time. Recommended.

Not at all worth the current price
This bench was a big disappointment. I ordered it to have an additional bench in my home gym. I often have to move my current one around for different exercises. Honestly, I will still use this bench for those purposes, but I'm just disappointed with the quality. This bench has the quality of the cheap garbage you find in the big box stores. The metal is lame stamped metal tubing with really cheap looking faux leather padding. The weld points are sloppy and the stability just isn't there. You can see this pretty well in the second photo. Also, if you look closely, it came with some sort of white paint on the left edge of the bench seat. I couldn't get that paint to come off.Not to mention, I have a Marcy bench that I just purchased a few months ago for $131.00. The Feierdun is currently selling for $179.00. I have posted a photo to illustrate the difference in quality. The only thing the Feierdun has that the Marcy doesn't is the padded leg bar. But honestly that is worthless to me. The Marcy has wheels and a handle to make rolling it around easy. It has a nice two toned padded bench. Even the logo is stitched on rather than silk screened like the Feierdun. If you look at the feet, the Marcy has a better design when compared to the capped tubing on the Feierdun.Overall, I couldn't be less enthused about this product. If it were selling at around $79 dollars rather than $179, then I would say that it is a good value for money because you can use it fairly well to execute lots of different dumbbell and barbell exercises. But at the current price point, this is simply not a good deal. There are much better options out there.

Would be great, but it's Unstable
Decided to give this a try because of the ability to fold it up so small.I currently have a Marcy as well and I've been using it for 4 years now.Honestly I think it would be a great Bench for someone who was smaller and lighter than me.I am 6'4" and weigh 220lbs.My biggest issues so far are that the seat is awkward to set flat after having it inclined and that the centerpiece where it folds is really really flimsy. The whole bench is actually 2 separate pieces held together by some screwed on plates. When you try to put them together it's kind of like a puzzle. You need to get the two sides to fit together correctly despite the fact that each side is wobbling and bending because the plates holding them together are flimsy.Once together there are 2 pins that you use to hold them in place but because4 these pins are slightly loose the entire bench can still bend a bit while you're working out.So for instance if you're doing skull crushers or something and your weight is more centered the back end of the bench can slide towards you a bit and the center of the bench will bend up a little. It's very unstable and makes me nervous.Again, if you were tiny and lifting small amounts of weight it'd probably be fine. But I move a medium-heavy amount of weight and I'm pretty big myself.I do like the removeable leg braces for doing weighted decline crunches but that's not really enough for me to give this a recommendation since there are plenty of other benches out there with the same features. The folding in half is a great idea... maybe just needs some revisions.
