Negative stars should exist for this product and their brand. To start, the product was awful. Upon arrival it was super loud. Even when not in use it would randomly make a loud churning sound. We had to unplug it when it was not in use because it was so annoying. Got 3 months of use out of it before it stopped working. When I contacted customer service they let me know that 3 months “was a long time” for the machine to have been working so they could not offer me a full refund on the product. If three months is a long time for their appliances to work I would NEVER recommend this brand. Stay away from Ecozy unless you’re into having broken appliances sitting on your countertop for aesthetics.

UPDATE TO PREVIOUS REVIEW: This ice maker worked perfectly for the first few months, but now it will not make ice. The machine makes noise, but no ice is produced. I reached out to the company and they gave me a list of troubleshooting techniques. None of them worked. When I reached back out, they told me it was not something they could replace since I ordered it on Amazon. They advised I go through Amazon. I was highly disappointed. Original rating: 5 stars I searched for the perfect ice maker that wouldn’t break the bank for what seemed like months. I am so happy with this purchase. I love the size and consistency of the nugget ice it makes. It’s a little noisy but tolerable. The ice stays frozen in the ice bucket all day long. I love that you can set a timer. Waking up to fresh, cold ice is so pleasing. Highly recommend!

I have 2 older ECozy nugget ice makers and the recent changes have made a huge difference in being user friendly! I have tried many other brands but none last as long as ECozy does! They have now changed the layout of the ice basket and you finally get a full basket of ice! The drawer is on the bottom so no more small pile up of ice until it reaches the "ice full" sensor and turns off leaving u with less than a half basket of ice. Enjoy a full basket of ice. It makes ice faster than older models and you can set timers to automatically start, stop and even to use the clean functions! A huge display panel makes it obvious when ice is making and when its completed! No confusing what mode is on! Easy fill water tank with flip up door on top with max fill line! Colder temperature than previous models for perfect nuggets! The only flaw I've noticed is that I really wish there was an app to show ice making, ice full or when clean function is in use! Just being able to quickly glance at the status to see if ice is ready was a huge help! But I will definitely take all new updates as a BIG win! Thank you for taking all issues into consideration and finding ways to fix flaws as well as you have! ECozy definitely also has the best customer service there is! They will walk you thru fixing any problems to even honoring the warranty once when ours broke after only a couple of months of use! All this is why I will continue to only buy ECozy for the perfect nugget ice makers!

I I picked this ice maker because of reviews on it but they were misleading or reviews were not matched to the product (ecozy nugget ice maker IM-NS331A) based on my experience with it. It is labor intensive because the freshly made ice is wet and melted water lies at the bottom of the ice basket. I pour out as much of the melted water as I can and then pour the ice into a plastic bag and place the bag into the freezer. Later I need to use an ice pick or mallet to break up the ice because it has frozen into a solid mass. It doesn’t make a lot of ice and it is slow to make ice. Mine was supposed to come with a drip tray but there was none. There are two plugs at the back of the machine that need to be opened and drained after making ice. I do not recommend this product after using it for an over a month. I paid $300 and it is worth about $50.

After 3 months of owning this machine, it has stopped making ice. Given the price of this machine, it shouldn’t already be dead. Extremely disappointing and frustrating. Additionally, be forewarned if you live somewhere with high humidity. This machine developed mold multiple times even with cleaning the machine multiples times per week. The ice is great, but between the mold and it dying after 3 months - I cannot recommend this machine or the company that makes it.
