Love it
Love this, as with most Ordinary products. Reminds me of Sundown brand sunscreen from the late 70s.

Not Perfect, But Practical: A No-Frills SPF Serum
The Ordinary’s SPF 45 UV Filters Serum is a welcome departure from the dense, lotion-like sunscreens that tend to clog pores. Its lightweight, watery texture glides smoothly over the skin and layers well with other products, making it ideal for daily wear. The serum delivers solid broad-spectrum protection, and unlike many heavier formulas, it doesn’t leave my face feeling suffocated.Packaging is a win—the pump dispenser is hygienic and versatile, whether you’re applying it to your palms or straight to the face. The twist-lock mechanism also makes it travel-friendly and spill-proof.That said, the formula has a noticeable chemical scent and a subtle sheen that some may find distracting. While it doesn’t produce a full white cast, it isn’t entirely invisible on skin either. Personally, I’ve had better luck with certain Korean sunscreens that offer a more seamless finish—but with import restrictions and formulations tightening, this product earns points for accessibility and reliability. If you’re after a protective serum with thoughtful packaging and a weightless feel, this is a practical contender—especially when better options are harder to come by.

Smoothing serum with superb sun protection
The Ordinary UV Filters SPF 45 Serum is everything you want in a facial serum. It is lightweight, lightly-scented, gentle, and leaves skin feeling incredibly smooth. It layers really well under cosmetics, leaving no white cast like many sunscreens tend to do. Other brands make me look like casper the ghost due to the white cast on my extremely fair skin, but not this serum! Other brands have also left my skin feeling tacky and this serum feels more like it improves my skin than leaving a film behind. The serum will work for any skin tone and is a must for protecting skin from UV rays. So far as sun protection goes, this does an excellent job. I have used it repeatedly before sun exposure (even on the lake) and have yet to burn, though I am careful to note when it's appropriate to reapply. It has not caused any redness or irritation to my sensitive skin. This formula is truly excellent and I can see now why it is so highly recommended. I think this sunscreen is an excellent value and would recommend to anyone.

Amazing! No white cast!
Love this Ordinary sunscreen! The biggest benefit for the sunscreen is that it goes on quite light which is beneficial. If you have makeup on and more importantly for me is that it doesn't create a white cast. With some types of sunscreens you get a white or gray type of color that applies your face. If you have darker skin. That's what the white cast is.With this particular sunscreen, I did not seem to have that problem with it.I had to apply the sunscreen twice during the few hours that I was out today. I was sweating quite a bit but I didn't notice that my skin felt that it was sunscreenless which is definitely a plus. But, to be on the safe side, I reapplied sunscreen after a couple hours anyway. In terms of value for the money, I think that you may want to wait for a sale. It's decent right now, but I think the quantity could be provided is a little bit more. However, I know that this is a great brand and I've used many of their products before. I still think that it's worth waiting for a sale, or if you're having trouble finding sunscreen that doesn't give a white cast, then this is the way to go.

The Ordinary UV Filters SPF 45 Serum
I have never tried a sunscreen quite like this, but I don't dislike it! It smells faintly sunscreeny but is otherwise unscented. The texture is thin like a serum, not a lotion like a regular sunscreen. It is milky white but did not leave a white cast, however I am quite pale so it may perform differently for those who are more melanated. With cream sunscreens I follow the three finger rule to be sure I am using enough product, but with this it is a little difficult to know exactly how much is needed to get the listed sun protection factor. I went with 4 pumps, and it seems to go on better as the first product after cleansing. It absorbed quickly when putting it on clean, bare skin, but I felt like it was a little greasier when I put it over my other skincare products. It did eventually dry down and was fine to put makeup over. Since it is not waterproof it is not a good choice for swimming or getting sweaty, so other sun protection measures will definitely be needed for a hot southern summer.Overall, it seems like a good product from a known and trusted brand. At $19.99 for 60 mls of SPF 45 it isn't outrageously priced. I don't think it will be a reorder for me because I do have other traditional face sunscreens and tinted sunscreens that I like more, but as a super pale person in a hot sunny climate I need all the SPF I can get, so I'll definitely use up this bottle.

Hydrating and gentle sunscreen from The Ordinary
Another good sunscreen product from The Ordinary. I also use their BHA and trust this brand. This sunscreen is easy to apply and absorbs nicely into my face. I have dry skin and it did not dry me out or cause breakouts, no redness or irritations either so it's gentle. I wear it after letting my moisturizer air dry. I put it on whenever I'm going to be out and about in the sun. Usually, I'm a homebody who works from home and doesn't go out much. It's very concentrated and a small amount goes a long way. It has white appearance, no scent, and feels smooth and velvety. Glides nicely across my face. It does not leave a greasy or oily residue and is not heavy either. I wear it bare so can't say if it cakes up makeup or not. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this facial sunscreen and highly recommend it. I don't mind paying more for quality and hydrating products like this.
