I have been flying RC helicopters for over 20 years and drones for over 10 years. Recently my original DJI Mavik died after nearly 10 years of faithful service. I went on a quest to find the best drone in the under 249 grams category. I did not want to bother with registering and licensing. This drone fits every category very nicely. Price point, advanced features, quality, flight characteristics and fluidity of controls, ease of use and easy connectivity. I believe anyone would do well with this drone from beginner to advanced. The pictures are high quality as is the video. The only place it falls a little short is the speed of flight. This is definitely not a deal breaker for me as I am not chasing cars or motorcycles. I mainly use it for construction documentation and personal photography. Don't let the price fool you this drone is great in the wind and comes with 3 batteries so you get plenty of flight time. It does not have object avoidance system, which I do not want because I get close to things on purpose. If you are looking for a small travel drone that is packed with features and quality at an affordable price, this one is worth every penny! The pictures below are in standard hi-res mode. So fun! I’ve never flown a drone before but had no problem navigating this one. Great quality photos/video. Compared to other drones, it’s also very affordable. One battery lasts 15 or so minutes, which is all I ever need to fly.

This Potensic Atom 2 drone is super fun and really easy to fly. The 4K video is awesome—super clear and sharp, whether you’re flying in daylight or at night with decent lighting. I weighed it on my kitchen scale with the batteries, and it’s about 250 grams, even with a few Velcro stickers I stuck on for some nighttime LEDs. I’ve flown this thing in some pretty strong winds, like class 4 or 5, and it held up great. It even gave me motor warnings once, but the video stayed steady when hovering. In heavy winds, the video can get a bit shaky, but this drone does a solid job keeping itself stable. It’s rated for class 5 winds, and I believe it. I flew it a full mile line of sight, and my remote still had three bars of signal—pretty impressive for a small drone. Now, a quick heads-up: always check your airspace. I live near a naval base, and helicopters fly low, like 200 feet above me. The drone’s noise isn’t too bad, and just so you know, it doesn’t record sound with the video. Okay, here’s the good and the bad. Bad news: this drone doesn’t like water. I messed up and got it stuck in a tree, and it fell into a river for like 10 seconds. Good news: it’s flying fine now! I pulled the battery out right away, dried it out for a couple of days on my air purifier set to high, and it was good to go a week later. Sadly, the battery that got wet is toast, but I’d rather lose a $50 battery than a $400 drone. If you ever get it in saltwater, rinse it with fresh water first to avoid corrosion. Overall, this drone is a blast and super easy to use. Watch a few videos to get the hang of the features, check the propeller screws, and do your calibrations. It’s basic stuff, but it keeps things safe. This little drone is small but packs a punch!

Let me start off by saying I am by no means an expert drone pilot. I will say, however, at that the ease of use of this drone, the stability and the quality of the images is outstanding. I took it on a vacation flight. And I got some of the most amazing images of a small town tucked between the mountains in Puerto Rico with amazing sunsets. I can't wait to keep honing my skills and learn all the features. For the price tag, compared to other drones of the same quality. You're not gonna get a better deal. I'd truly like the flight time, which is roughly thirty minutes per battery. I got three with the extended flight package. And it also has a training flight tutorial for people like me with very limited experience. Highly recommend you won'regret it.

This is a very nice and affordable drone. I bought it because I was not able to obtain a DJI drone for a reasonable price at the time due to the shortage. I am pleasantly surprised with this unit. For the price, you get the extra batteries and multi-charger for the same price as you'd usually pay for just the base drone package with DJI. The controller is pretty decent, and fits my phone easily. You could potentially mount a tablet with some creative use of mounting brackets. Feature and performance wise, I would say this drone compares very closely with the DJI Mini 2.the reason for that is like the Mini 2, this drone only has proximity sensors on the bottom. So unfortunately you don't get collision prevention that many more advanced DJI drones have. This is the only reason I removed a star. Everything else about this drone is great and still for the price I would buy another. The software for the drone is easy to use, and pretty intuitive. Not quite as polished as the DJI app but it doesn't make a huge difference to me and I haven't had any problems with it. Flight performance is great. It might be slightly more sensitive to windy conditions, but I was able to fly in relatively high winds without to much trouble. The video quality is also quite good honestly. It's definitely good enough for cinematic use. Overall for the price I think this drone performs well enough for first time flyers to have a good experience without spending a small fortune. I'm quite satisfied with it.

Not my first drone but it is the most feature robust, incredible functionality, easy to operate, cant crash it unless you try. I have taken so many beautiful pics and videos. I probably have 100 hours on the drone and never once crashed or had an issue. The app is easy to understand and the drone is so simple to operate. If they come out with a bigger better version I'll buy it too. Have DJI's that are nice but this has become my go-to for photography. Now has waypoint functionality which works perfectly. Good company.

***** 2x $. 10x value. Photography drone. The snow cap mountains are 40 MI away. This taken in my first 20 minutes with this drone, without the extraordinary new firmware, and only on the 12mp setting. I hadn't yet learned how to go to the 48 mp. Two weeks ago I had no experience with any drone. What I knew was that in this area of extraordinary visual beauty, I was often situated in the city with nothing but buildings and telephone wires surrounding me. And I wanted a periscope. My greatest interest is in the Magnificent sunrises and sunsets in this Cortez colorado. I studied, I tried hard to know what I was looking for, to find what was needed. And no useful guidance was found. I did my best. I've been through two excellent drones, but they are useless to me. But now this drone. It is extraordinary. 48mp, tho the other two drones had that as well. !!!! Manuel and automatic exposure, on screen with my Android. !!!! Good to excellent low light. Extraordinary ease of use, including very intelligent and automatic downloading of appropriate firmware updates. Very aggressive and appropriate warranty, crash, lost drone protection that I will be purchasing. I'm still only 2 weeks into this drone world. What I need for my application is a $2,000-5000 drone and that's not in the budget. But I think this is going to do it. Two times the price of other excellent bottom entry level drones, but this one I think is going to work. They've certainly done their part. Well done Potrensic.
