At long last, there are HEADSETS that support Auracast, and the Sennheiser BTD700 Dongle transmits Auracast STREAMS. I'm using multiple of these dongles with devices like my JBL Tour One M3 Smart Tx - Wireless Over-Ear Noise Cancelling Headphones. The Remote that comes with the headphones enables you to choose any streams that are available in range. Auracast ROCKS! Paired it with my iFi Go Pod with AptX Adaptive with no issue, but make sure to download the full version of manual from Sennheiser, as the quick start guide can be a bit confusing. In addition, you do NOT use the Windows build in Bluetooth device manager to do the pairing, as the pairing itself will be handled by the dongle exclusively bypassing Windows. Just make sure your audio device was set to BTD 700, then use the dongle button to pair your device.

There is no companion app to adjust the dongle and it fails to connect every time. It takes 13 steps to get this to work with my S25 Ultra every single time I try to use it. Sending back for a full refund.

I bought this dongle to be able use aptX lossless with Sonos Ace and Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S3 headphones. I've tried it with an iPhone 16 Pro, a Sony A306 DAP, and my laptop, and I get a rock solid connection with all of them. I did have to update the firmware for the LED to correctly display when it is transmitting aptX lossless, but otherwise it has worked perfectly.
