Looks nice..
I am returning the first unit. Looks nice...feels solid...doesn't transmit. All it does is shut down and restart when the PTT is pushed. Ditto with the CALL button on the unit. I'll order one more and see what happens but if that doesn't work out I'm done with Radioddity. Too bad as it it's a nice compact and solid feeling unit. If the next one works out I'll revise my review.UPDATE: The system reset was due to an inadequate AC/DC power supply. Not enough amps available for TX. I replaced the DB25 with a QB25 and the same thing happened. I didn't think it was possible for the same fault to occur with two different units so I doublechecked my AC/DC converter and found it was only producing about 1 Amp. I tested the QB25 in my car and everything worked better than expected. I get better reception on the QB25 than on my Yeasu FT60. I assume that the performance of the DB25 would be similar if not identical. My only complaint is the user manual and the programming software. Rewrite the manual with an accurate English translation and rewrite the software or use CHIRP (it works great if you use the updated version). As far as the QB25...I really like it. I'm doing a 100 hour burn in to see if anything fails but so far so good.

Impressive Transciever
I received the Radioddity DB25 last week and finally put it on the test bench to run it through its paces. The outcome was impressive for a transceiver in this price range.High power output on both bands met specifications and the transmit audio sounded good when monitoring on a remote receiver. Receive audio is crisp and clear. The area where I reside has a sparse amount of VHF and UHF users, so I could not evaluate the effects of intermod.I used CHIRP to load my standard group of local frequencies without any problems. CHIRP recognizes this radio as a QYT KT-8900D.Features and menu items are similar to the typical Chinese radios such as the Baofeng UV-5R and UV-82. I was able to navigate through programming and features without referring to the manual (I only opened to manual to check the specifications for output power). The multi-color screen is customizable and easy to read. I like the idea of being able to queue up four frequencies on the screen for easy selection.Overall, this transceiver seems to provide lots of bang for the buck. Time will tell as far as its longevity. I can’t bash Chinese radios in general as I have used the same UV-5R as my EDC radio for more than six years without a hiccup. I am hopefully expecting similar performance from the DB25.

DB-25 A space savingg dualbad radio
Mini radio nice in appearance.Quad or single or dual Recieve with 4 freq display capability. The radio gets 146mhz and 444mhz 2m and 70cm .Also includes 220-270 mhz Revieve only no TX so close.Get's 350 mhz old military band TX & RX you aint reallysuppose be on there thisband can be shut off in programing by Pc.On win 7 with radioddys downloaded software I could not openrecieved mscomm32x error which this happens with Baofeng uv 82 softwareas well. 3 pc's I have had this error when you get copy of mscomm32x fileyou cant open it after google'in for hourz. so tried chirp but usb and prolific driversdid not work with it. Final soulution grab a trusty win xp computer it loaded programed real nicely. This lil radio is complex but can be used with practiced.Eventually you have to ave 2 mem freqs on display and two channel or vhf on other two lines.Seemed I could not get 4 displays all in memory channels but works fine the TMR in menu will allow you to select your your quad or dual or single RX.Loud speaker sound .Mic audio punchy ok .MIc allows you remotely operate radio on the fly in mobil.10 watt on low lets you talk to local repeaters 90% anywhere or 20/25w hi.Display has many beautiful colors to adjust.Great for portable set ups go box radio , motorcycles quads, off road atv applications.

I would recommend this radio for someone on a shoestring budget.
This is the second time I got an email about this radio from Amazon as I posted earlier. Having experienced with it for just one day I put it through the wringers and for the money performed quite well. Mine however had a bad speaker Jack and a little bit more parasitic intermodulation on the upper 400 megahertz band that I cared to deal with but that was my opinion. Overall for $90 it's a steal. Sounded great and I've seen bad reports of the speaker however I found good to be quite loud enough from my crappy hearing. Had good tech support from the manufacturer I think this radio is probably a big seller and if it wasn't for the speaker Jack being bad I would have kept this radio. But you get what you pay for and everyone has different taste don't expect a BMW for $90.If you've owned expensive Kenwood's , icom's and all the other manufacturers out there this is probably not the radio for you but if you're on a limited budget like I am this was a Dandy little buy.

Radioddity rocks
This is my 10th radio purchased from Radioddity (2 mobile, 8 ht). After you get use to the programming menus on these radios they are pretty straight forward to use. Radioddity customer service and support are very good considering they are a couple time zones away (customer service rep Wing is the best). Very happy with product and supplier.

Great little radio
Radio working as it should, programing on the other hand is a bit confusing if not familiar with operating system once you get to know it its fairly easy and with programing cable even easier.

Shocked after a month (in a good way)
Shocked at all the positive responses I get on QSOs about clarity. I have this paired with a Tram 1180 as a mobile rig. Works well off a simple 12v vehicle lighter port. One con: if you monitor 4 busy frequencies, THEY WILL STEP ON YOUR QSO! Play with the monitoring settings thoroughly.

Very good little radio.
This radio was purchased on July quit transmitting in September. I contacted the seller through Amazon and the seller made a speedy replacement! I'm happy with the radio, so I'm glad the seller had good customer support. I would recommend this product. 4 stars because it failed, but 5 for customer support!

Deaf and no help from seller or Radioddity either when it went faulty
Obviously its cheap, you have to program from a computer but in some ways you get what you pay for. Unfortunatly that also means you get no service or any sympathy if it goes wrong! Just out of Warrenty period from the Amazon Seller when the radio went very deaf (It was already deaf but ok for local repeater working). Their reply talk to Radioditty as it came from them. Off went email asking for help. Radiooddity dont make the radio, they just badge it. They have no repair facilities and suggested I used a signal tracer to find out the problem without the help of a schematic of the circuit - they dont have any further info on the radio..Its going in the bin. Probably should have put it in there when it first arrived- it would have saved me a lot of trouble and time.. You have been warned.

Good service, good radio
The service from Radioddity was quick and good. Now as for the radio.. easily programmed using Chirp, but you will need to just run through the menu, the radio comes with a delayed transmit of 5 seconds, which if you don't realise it's there means that when asking for a radio check you don't get heard. Once that was change (menu 21, set to 0 instead of 5) the radio is very good. Excellent reception reports through the local repeater with good voice clarity for those listening. Nice small radio which comes with all fittings and fits neatly in my van. Good value for money, good little radio.

Loud sound and easy setup via generic PC software
Have a good sound, small and clear display. However, not 5 star, because the equipment is Dual band (VHF/UHF, with a possibility to appear four frequencies in the display at same time, but only hearing one (single reception). If you select a VHF or UHF frequency to operate, the others three don't have reception.

Absolute good value for money!
Cracking little radio that is bigger than its' physical size. Very easy to configure/program with CHIRP to set fixed channels/frequencies. Only issue is a buggy selector switch for frequency/menu selection on the main unit, I can overlook this thanks to the mic keypad and working with fixed frequencies.
