These are well made. I have no idea how to hook them up at all. Instructions are really BAD. 3 wires, no mention of what they do. Then there is a button, that button is not in the manual ANYWHERE. If you have fasttrac you will need to buy additional pieces of track. Lionel what are you doing... how did that manual get in the box.

My son likes that the gate works as advertised; he did ask why the gate "lights" don't light up or why it doesn't have bells and why the gate doesn't go all the way up. The wires are very thin which makes them hard to get a good contact connection.

Just what I wanted

Instructions for hooking them up was not good to say the least. I had to get someone that was familiar with electrician work to tell me how to hook it up. Once I hooked them up they still didn't work quite right. Was hoping this was just going to be a simple add to add some flare to my track, but oh well. Build quality on them seems good. Now if I could only get them to work right.
