I'm just learning about d-mannose and uva ursi helping with uti's &/or bladder infections. can someone tell me the difference in using these products?

Uva Ursi-IS NOT an ANTIBIOTIC. Antibiotics, if misused can cause C.Dif. -I know as I got it from a broad spectrum antibiotic. The C.Dif. put me in cardiac I.C.U. with 5 tubes and a pic line in me. My digestive system was so damaged from the disease I can only eat very mild foods, This is three years later. I don't know where the next poster found their information, but it is incorrect, and laymen shouldn't comment on medications and procedures unless they have a medical degree. Don't play games with your life. Look at websites like John Hopkins, Harvard and the Mayo clinic, and other university medical school websites. Avoid antibiotics unless absolutely necessary. The D-Mannose is a supplement, and the posters were correct; it keeps the sugar molecules from sticking to your urinary tract. Avoid all sugar especially soda pops. Sugar is a favorite food of bacteria. Take the D-Mannose for about a week 5000mg three times a day. The burning stopped on the second day ! Take it for the full week, then once a week, avoiding sugar, and you will stop having iti and bladder infections. My Specialist told me about it, and it is a miracle supplement. Is the mannose extracted from cranberry? I can't have corn.

On the bottle it states, D-Mannose is a sugar primarily found in cranberries and other fruits. I hope that the manufacturer can more fully answer your question.
