Q: I see there is a ii after the one shown, what does that mean. also, saw blue ones. are hey the same as the purple??/

My understanding when I bought mine over a year ago was that it is just a new and improved design, like the next upgrade to a software program. I saw both versions when I first looked into buying one but have been unable to find the first one since then. The blue one shown on the You Tube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4iy4dmE6l8 is possibly an earlier version because the shell is clearer on that version--and blue. I'm not sure why the color is different. The second version works great for me at my veterinary hospital.

Q: Is the cat able to eat with this on? My cat engages in dangerous Pica behavior and I am looking for a way to help prevent this at certain times.

I'm not sure but its very awkward on the head so probably not . I couldn't get it to stay on my cats head so didn't really use it.
