History In 1965, Flora began its North American operations in Burnaby, British Columbia, and is currently owned by natural health visionary Thomas Greither. Originally, Thomas ran a natural foods store in Burlington, Vermont, and it was his dream to produce and provide consumers with the finest health products available. In its early stages, Flora served primarily as a centre for distributing and marketing European herbal remedies. At that time, alternative health products were virtually unknown in Canada. As interest grew, Flora began manufacturing natural bulk laxatives and its own line of herbal therapeutic teas.
