I will be buying more. They are excellent for the purpose I am buying them for. They are as advertised and work flawlessly so far.

Excellent for the price. The EliteDesk 800 G5 was clean, no fingerprints, dust, or dents. There was an actual Intel WiFi and Bluetooth card installed with the antenna connected properly. The SSD was Samsung, although a bit well used. Even the fans were clean and the keyboard and mouse were decent quality. The only very minor complaint is there was no original HP RAM. It had one Kingston module and one from Ramaxel, so not matched modules. Everything is present and works though, which is well above average for a refurb at this price. I've purchased at least ten refurb mini computers over the past five years. This is the first one I've received that didn't have any case damage or missing components. At six cores and with good power management, it's a perfect media center PC, and can be used as a primary desktop if you don't plan to do any gaming or 3D modeling work. I've even got one setup for my wife with additional RAM and a larger SSD for music production and photo editing.

I bought this to use for a small Home Assistant install so I haven't tested Windows on it at all. There's a lot to like about this little PC. Its got a slightly smaller footprint than a Mac Mini but isn't as tall. There's a good amount of connectivity - a USB-C and USB-A (SuperSpeed) on the front bezel, four USB-A ports on the back - two of which are also SuperSpeed, and two displayport ports. Depending on how these were configured when they were built by HP or modified by the companies that bought them there may be a third DP port in the expansion socket. You might luck out and get a HDMI output, or you might get one with a VGA port. There's some variation in what you'll get when you purchase this. I bought two and one came with an internal Intel wifi/bluetooth card as well as a Haysenser USB wifi/bluetooth 5 adapter. The second one that I bought (which ended up being defective) came without the internal Wifi adapter but with the same Haysenser adapter as well as a keyboard and mouse. These little HP Elitedesk 800 desktop minis were designed to be modular so you can piece together a system that has almost whatever you want inside it. There are two internal M.2 SSD slots, plus HP also made a SATA drive sled, dedicated GPU (which then requires you to use a M.2 SSD for space reasons), upgrade to 64GB of RAM inexpensively, and even run a 9th generation Intel i9 processor, provided that you have a 65W power supply (or better) and HPs copper heatsink and fan. Like I mentioned before, there's an expansion slot that you can use to add HDMI, Displayport, and VGA outputs as well as one that adds an additional USB-C port. Most importantly this system is quiet. There's one fan that draws air into the heatsink and I can only hear it with my ear pressed up against the top case.

There is no HDMI port on the computer. I have nothing to hook it up to my new monitor. I am completely frustrated and upset because I have been TRICKED into buying something that is useless in the 21st-century. Who is still using parallel pin cables for their video? And neither the monitor nor the computer came with such cable anyway. I thought I was getting HDMI for the video hook up but it was a DisplayPort. They look very similar but are not the same. It turns out there is an adapter you can get, but in any case, the DisplayPort in the picture is INCORRECT. You’re going to get a parallel-pin-type of port for your video. And as an extra bonus, they surprise you with a $95 restocking fee. It does not say THAT on the page either. “Free returns” only means they pay the shipping, in case you didn’t know. If you have to return it, call Amazon; don’t use the app.
