My wife needs to wear a cast for a couple of months and her winter coats won't fit over it. So I ordered both the poncho and cape styles of this product. I hoped that one of them would be a practical alternative and that the other could go in my car's emergency kit. My initial impression is that both will go in the emergency kits.Pros: Warm and waterproof.Cons: Bulky and difficult to don and button up. Both stuff sacks are dramatically undersized. Is it possible for two people to stuff the blankets in them? Yes. I purchased an ALPS Mountaineering XL (12"x25") compression stuff sack. The 12 inches was just sufficient to allow a single person to insert the blankets. The 25 inches allowed me to insert both a cape and a poncho.Suggestions: Add some reflective striping or strips. Change the frequently used snaps (the ones used when taking the blankets on/off) to ones that are much easier to use or perhaps to Velcro. Add internal pockets. Add a compression sack option for the stuff sacks and make them much bigger. For the cape: add a self adhering Velcro strap and ring, inside below the pockets, so it doesn't gap so easily. This might need some more thought since falls may be dangerous in a closed cape. Perhaps add punch throughs to the pockets.These seem like they have so much potential for the elderly market but they need work.much potential for the elderly market but they need work.

Yes it is expensive! But totally worth it!When you have multiple children and multiple sporting events to sit through with siblings have you ever told your kids 100x to grab a coat because it might rain or get cold later? They scream I don’t need a coat! Fast forward an hour or 2 later they are complaining and want to know how much longer until the game is over because it’s freezing and they want to go home.A blanket at sporting event works ok, but this is so much better. I like the hood, pockets and length. The best part is I don’t have to struggle with a coat and a blanket that keeps falling off every time I stand up to cheer for my kids. It is a great coat/blanket combo. My family is fighting over it so I will eventually have to get more. Another plus is the nice bag it comes with to keep it stored in.I get so many compliments on it from the freezing/wetbystanders!

By far the best investment I have found while standing and watching my kids at their sporting events during cold miserable days. I set at a softball tournament that the temp was in the low to mid 30's with the wind chill at 19 degrees and this kept me comfortable. The next day the wind was coming in at 35mph and it was around 40 degrees and it once again pulled me through. Highly recommend.

This thing is pricey but it’s worth it. If you are investing in your kids sports that play in cold temps or rain this thing is worth the investment. Plus it’s big enough to wrap around ourself and our little 3 year old and keep everyone warm. Also great for hunting. I keep in in my truck at all times. Rain proof. Wind proof. Retains heat. Can’t ask for more.

Love, love, love thus product. Wire to many soccer games and it kept me warm and set. Had several bystanders try it and ask about it. Made sure they bought the Mambe brand and not imitation. Worth the price. Love the carry bag, use it as a pillow on road trips.

Waterproof, wind proof, warm. I just wore this for an outdoor tournament at the end of November. It was freezing; followed by 40 degrees and driving rain. The weather was terrible, but I stayed warm and dry. I’m 5’5” medium build woman and the large came to my ankles. This is the perfect gift for a parent or athlete that attends cold weather tournaments or events; or anyone who might spend time in a tree stand. It is worth the money, if they go on sale for cyber Monday, I’m getting another one.

Bought this to use during cold track meets. First track meet of the season was 23 degrees & this saved me! It is warm, it is great for those unexpected rain showers, & is also a great wind-block. Loved it so much that I purchased 2 more for my parents, 1 for my 17 yo son (who wears it now between his races to stay warm, instead of his sweats) and then I purchased the regular blanket for my husband. Purchased both Large and XLarge. Only difference is the shoulder width is much wider on XL, but length is about the same. The are very easy to roll up and store in the provided bag.

I needed something to help with the cold and wind while watching my daughter's soccer games. A blanket over my legs was not working.
