Quietest openers I've ever heard
These are so much better than trolley type openers. When I first installed them the only thing I could hear was the garage door hinges squeaking. I lubed the hinges and now there is basically no noise and the ceiling is not cluttered by an opener. Install is also very easy, the only thing weird that I had to do was shim the tension monitor so it sat at a slight angle to keep it from intermittently tripping.

Excellent opener
These openers are very nice and quiet. Easy to install and work easy with residential and light duty commercial applications.

Great Product, poor warrantee.
This garage door is quiet, smooth, sturdy, and very easy to install. I cannot give it 5 stars because the opener is not warrantied unless installed by an authorized source. This door opener is easier to install than all other door openers I have installed in the past. I do not see the reasoning for this policy. I am confident that this is a quality product and should last for many years.

Quiet, easy to install
Quiet, easy to install, had some issues with the tension monitor locking the system. Manual a bit short on info. Having problems syncing with MyQ app. You have to select the model but honestly cannot find the model number showing in the app anywhere in the manual or on the device.Bottom line, love it, wanted to add a ceiling fan into my shop/garage, this allowed me to do that removing the center chain drive opener. Super quiet.

great quality
Installation was not difficult. directions were clear. In total honesty, I have bought this opener from a local store a year ago and installed it. Loved it so much , got another one and it was cheaper on Amazon . Best thing about this is how quiet it runs and how easy to program remotes. I your tracks are right I would strongly recommend it.

You probably *don't* want a jackshaft, definitely don't want a Liftmaster
Do not buy a jackshaft opener unless you absolutely require one, but especially don't buy one from Liftmaster. What is not advertised is that there are a whole set of installation requirements that are not advertised with these models (e.g. in the installation instructions). It's not merely the clearances they mention. You must have a very straight, plumb and level torsion bar in order for the jackshaft opener to be able to turn the bar freely, without giving up due to "resistance". A standard opener (chain or belt) can actually tolerate a lot of imperfections in the installation of the torsion bar. If a human can fairly easily lift the door by hand, the installation is probably good enough for a standard opener. Totally not the case with this model. If there's any wobble in the end of the bar, it won't work. You also have no means of measuring that the opener gets installed perpendicular to the bar, so unless the bar is perfectly level (which allows you to measure the opener for plumb), you won't be able to eyeball a good mount to your wall.Any drywall on the wall is also a non-starter (even with studs behind it), because drywall can crush under the mounting bracket and leave you with an opener that's not perfectly square to the torsion bar. So, there's a good amount of work you may need to do on your wall, and the mounting of the torsion bar, to allow these very fragile units to function. Not at all like traditional openers.Furthermore, if you buy this and aren't one of Liftmaster's certified installers, they won't give you technical support. I called with very basic questions about their cable tension monitors, which are not answered in the manuals. These monitors are also identical to the ones used with the identical residential versions of Liftmaster's units. But, again, they will not answer your questions if you're not an "installer". Their telephone "technical support" doesn't know anything about the units, they are just performing searches in the (deficient) manuals.Really bad company to deal with, avoid at all costs.

Compact, quiet, and working well
My last 2 openers had problems with the chain and worm drives. This bypasses those parts so I am hoping this will last a long time. It's been a month - no issue so far. Install was easier than traditional openers. I was able to install this despite the ceiling coming down right near the corner of the door - had to cut the drywall. Most people won't have this issue. One thing I wish this had is an overhead light. So I am looking for a motion sensor light to put in the ceiling.
