基礎的な線性代数や統計学が分かれば、この一冊で実際に操作しながら勉強することができます。アクティブな人であれば、この一冊とともに、自分のポートフォリオもできるくらいでしょう。英語が読めれば、との話ですが、この分野で上達していくにはこれくらいの英語（フランス人作者による）は読めないと厳しい気がする。
