Nearly perfect, super pleased with performance and ease of use
Whats not to love about my new robotic friend? Its sleek, well made, works extremely well and makes household chores so much easier and less of a bother. I love the Eufy Clean app, its easy to map out your rooms and set a schedule, choose your options, etc. One thing that threw me for a bit is that its a separate app to control this unit, if you already have the Eufy app, that main one is mostly for security at least for now. If you want to add your robot vac, you have to install the Eufy clean app. I spent an hour trying to get the robot vac added to my devices in the Eufy main app before I realized it was not the same. The performance of the robot vac is extremely good, its able to clean my hard wood floors easily. The mop works wonders and leaves the floors looking brand new. Later this week I'll be expanding it to also vacuum my carpeted areas, so far I've just focused on the hard wood floors since we're having some construction done in those carpeted areas right now. I also installed some googly eyes for comedic effect and named it "M-O" from one of the robotic characters in the movie WALL-E. I've had the E28 for a few weeks now and really love it, the quality, the performance, the ease of use, the Eufy Clean app is great, etc. You really can't go wrong with this one, its pretty close to perfect for a floor cleaning robot.

A traditional broom and mop would be better.
Updated Review: Vacuum is still 1star, but Eufy customer support is 5stars. Class acts. They gave me three options: 1. Brand new vacuum, same model. 2. I return mine and pay the difference for their new improved model (which admittedly was very tempting at first but I just don’t have the time to go through this saga again if it were the same. While the Omni s1 pro was tempting, especially with the discount i went for option 3. The s1 pro is realistically what i should’ve purchased. It has a ton of positive reviews, 7.4k, at the moment. But i was tempted to buy this one because it had a massive sale. Now i know why. 3. Return unit and receive a refund. They refunded me no problem once they got the vacuum. 5stars for customer service. I would buy from them again. Original review: I’ll start my review by saying that I’ve reached out to Eufy with my complaints and will update if/when I hear back. I have been an Anker (parent company) customer for years with zero complaints. Their cables and batteries have been excellent. The two products I brought from Eufy though, this vacuum and a scale are total garbage. The scale gives widely different readings than our withings scale and the app connection is spotty. But this vacuum is the biggest piece of smart home crap I have ever used in my life. My biggest complaint is that it is just two months old and conveniently outside the return window and it no longer works. It worked well a handful of times and then one day I noticed it smelled horrible as it was scooting around my floors not picking anything. Vacuum appears fine so I take out the roller and clean it as the instructions say, reassembled once it was completely dry others later. Then I inspected the base station. It had dumped both clean and dirty water tanks onto my floor. I cleaned it up and unplugged it and inspected. Nothing obviously wrong. Little bits of dirt in the docking tray which I cleaned. Checked the dust bag on the base station and boom. Tons of water in it. I’ve spent more time maintaining this lack luster piece of crap than it would’ve taken me to just vacuum and mop my floors myself. I’ve never hated a vacuum before, but I hate this thing. Another issue is there have been times it couldn’t get back to its base station and it just died on the floor. I won’t buy anything from this brand again. I’ve already went ahead and purchased a Tineco S7 Ultra to replace. Don’t buy eufy. Buy Dyson instead. Or anything else. A broom would do a better job.

Truly Impressive – smart and effortless.
Honestly I'm pretty picky with tech products, I don’t usually write glowing reviews - but this robot vacuum really earned it. The cleaning performance is excellent. It’s powerful, has multiple cleaning modes, and works great in a home with pets. Ever since I started using this robot, I’ve actually packed away my Dyson. I honestly wish we had one in the office too! The size and noise level are totally reasonable compared to similar products. What really sets it apart is the software experience. The map generation is incredibly fast and accurate - it easily recognizes rooms and obstacles, and sets up zones perfectly. The app is intuitive, user-friendly, and the prompts are clear. It works flawlessly across both my phones, an Android foldable and an iPhone. I’ve tried other brands before, but none felt this smooth or well-integrated. Hardware setup is also straightforward. Most parts are basically plug-and-play. The only tricky bit was the tray — it needs to be “clicked in” rather than just placed. I had to try a few times, and the app kept telling me it wasn’t properly installed. I eventually figured it out, but it would be great if the app could include a little animation or more detailed instructions when that error pops up. One moment that truly surprised me was when the robot managed to escape from a tangle of wires. One of the wheels was completely wrapped up, and I thought it would be stuck for sure. But it figured it out and kept going — clearly, the navigation and escape algorithms are top-tier. Frankly speaking, this robot has exceeded my expectations in both hardware and software. It has truly improved my day-to-day life. Highly recommended, worth the price!

I’ve been using the eufy E28 for over a month now and I’m really happy with it. Setup was super easy, and the app did a great job mapping out my space. I love that I can split rooms into custom areas and tailor cleaning zones to my needs. The roller mop works really well on both hardwood and tile floors. You can control how much water it uses, which makes it easy to create different schedules. I have one for the whole house once a week (standard water level) and another just for the kitchen with more water. That way, I don’t have to mop my hardwood floors multiple times a week. Maintenance is minimal. The mop cleans itself, so I only need to wash the filter weekly—takes about two minutes, plus drying time. I usually run it when I’m out, but even when I’m working from home, it’s quiet enough. Some people mention the self-emptying is loud—yes, it kicks in for about 5 seconds—but that’s it. You can set a Do Not Disturb period, so mine vacuums quietly at night and self-empties in the morning. When I installed the app, I got a free bottle of floor and carpet cleaner specifically made for this model. For those wondering: the soap reservoir is actually hidden under the portable carpet cleaner unit, which isn’t obvious at first. I haven’t used the carpet cleaner yet, so I can’t comment on that part. I’m so happy with the E28 that I’m now planning to get the E25 for our second floor. Highly recommend this model for anyone looking for a smart, low-maintenance cleaning companion.

Leaves puddle of water everywhere. Mop is not good enough to be termed as “designed for deep cleaning”. Gets stuck every now and then, doesn’t recognize simple obstacles like a desk or a table. Gets stuck under the floor mat every time.

This has become the best cleaning companion ever! I love that it vacuums and mops saving me so much time. It mapped my house accurately and has great suction. My floors are always clean and I don’t have that much upkeep or maintenance as it cleans and dries itself. The fact that it comes apart and I can use it to clean the upholstery as well is such a game changer. No need for multiple items this does it all!

I watched a lot of reviews and finally settled on this, especially because of the deep cleaning vacuum available. I also really love the roller mop but because it doesn't get close to the edge, it is ineffective to edges. But really was unfortunate is that it is really sensitive to furniture on the edge. It is especially sensitive to not getting close to cabinets, especially if your kitchen cabinets has an overhang like you usually do. Mine is 10cm high and the robot vac stays away from the edge and basically lives behind all dirt. It also for some reason doesn't extend the side brush at the corners, and even if it does, it's for a split second and moves on. Sad to say but I am going to have to return it. I was trying to upgrade from the Roborock S7 Max V Ultra.

We had been very reluctant to purchase this type of vacuum, but, we caved. We wish we would have done it sooner. The missus loves it, named it "Sally". Works very good, the floors are very clean.
