I love the device, it's comfortable for long hours of play, streams extremely well, and is super powerful. I take it everywhere. Would recommend for anyone who needed a pc for on the go gaming.

I don't usually write reviews, but I really liked this handheld and thought I'd give Playstation owners fair warning. ​I genuinely wanted to like this device... it's a powerful and small and handles demanding games well. ​My issues: ​Responsiveness and Speed: The overall speed and responsiveness of the Win 4 felt sluggish and inconsistent. ​Hardware/Software Instability: I experienced frequent glitches. On several occasions, the screen failed to turn on, and the dedicated mouse button stopped working completely. (A full restart would generally fix the issue) Fan noise was a little loud but not too unbearable. ​My biggest issue is this device doesnt work with Remote Play or console remote play. PSplay will not recognize the GPD gamepad as a controller, and drivers don't seem to work. I purchased this unit specifically to stream my games, and this lack of compatibility renders it useless for that purpose unless I pair another controller with it.

ok, so im writing my review after purchasing the HX 370 AI 9, 2 TB, 32GB RAM model. im not new to handheld pc's, as ive been buying them since 2020 when the first onexplayer was released. the gpd win 4 is my 11th handheld. and let me just start by saying it is by far THE ABSOLUTE BEST HANDHELD PC I HAVE EVER HAD, AND OR USED. i am reading these reviews and i can honestly say i am beyond baffled, blown away, flabbergasted, if you will. (lol) but on a serious note... i really am just forced to believe at this point in reading this you guys have all wrote, (for the most part that is) that all of you reviewers maybe just have no clue how to operate any type of tech that isnt just straight up plug and play. like.. wut??. I have had zero issues with this device since the day i bought it almost a year ago. i play every single game, well like 95% of all newer triple a titles at 13 TDP. 13. YES. 1 3 . and the other five percent maybe at 16%-19% only if i feel the game performs better with the graphics on high, (atleast) without vsync turned on. that being you might have to do a little tweaking. but in all actuality it was nothing complicated enough to feel like i couldnt handle it on my own. keep in mind i had a tough time installing ram on my first desktop pc about 3 years ago so that shows you where i stand with any form or sort of pc tech. i just started getting into the tinkering side of things maybe within the last year and a half. just so you can see where my standing was when dealing with this wonderful device. all you need is a little chat gpt. the main thing was learning all what the motion assistant application does and how to tweak your settings the way you like them and the way the device likes them. it is set at 30 tdp out of the box, and i do not ever use it at that high of a TDP because it is simply not necessary... EVER. you set it between 11-15, auto tdp option applied, auto lock the gpu, float option on as well, and you keep the fan on automatic, unless you are playing at the 16-23 tdp that i sometimes do when at home docked or on the charger because at 23 there is nothing this thing cant do.. perfectly might i add. look i can play the silent hill 2 remaster with the ray tracing on and keep the graphical settings all on high and epic, ultra, what have you. bottom line is this, this device is absolutely perfect and runs better than any other handheld ive ever used in my life. i also have dropped it multiple times with no case or screen protector and my device looks and runs flawlessly. i liked it so much i wanted to own more gpd products so i bought a used GPD G1 (2023 edition) and guess what? turned right back around and sold it a few months later after realizing that YOU DONT NEED IT WHAT SO EVER WITH THE AI 9 HX 370 CHIPSET. ITS ALREADY BOOSTED BEYOND BELIEF STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. i also have never and will never use anything other than windows 11 and its just great fine and dandy all that good stuff. Now i will also add that i am aware of some faulty sellers on amazon and the quality control with these fellows arent always the best. that is to be understood and thats also why amazon has such a wonderful return policy. i just am assuming i had to be lucky just by receiving a device with zero issues. also the sound deserves a mention. this is the absolute loudest device i have ever in my life used, between bluetooth speakers, any type of handheld ive ever owned in the past. this thing is actually TOO loud, and if you ask any gpd win 4 owners they will say the same. the battery is amazing too. to be just 45 watts, my god with a decent brightness and tdp 11-13 youre easily riding out on a triple a title for almost three hours. the higher the tdp, the faster goes the battery, of course alone with everything else that drains battery, i actually feel the need to list them all due to the severity of not good reviews here. just know anyone considering getting this device, DO IT. the GPD WIN 4 is worth every cent of the 1500 for this chipset and great form factor. it can literally fit in your pocket. listen to me and just buy it, it will be the best deicison you ever made if youre in the market for a good handheld that is truely portable and also wonderfully ergonomic without any case what so ever. like i said i could go on and on about how great this is but i havent the time.
