Arachnid Tungsten Soft Tip Darts (18-Gram)

Overall, these are the best darts to date that I have thrown. I am not an expert, but I definitely notice a significant difference since I own several sets of darts.I own several sets of darts, a couple sets of Halex Impact 4.0s (copper plated, 18 grams) and a set of Nickel barrel 20 gram darts. (not high-end darts, more like W-mart specials)Immediately, I notice that the Arachnid is not only thinner (barrel diameter), but also shorter than the others lengthwise by about an inch. Due to its smaller size, it allows for tighter groupings. Since it is made of 90% tungsten (very dense), the dart can still maintain similar weights of larger darts.Since the dart is thinner, it may take a little getting used to on the grip for those with large hands (like myself). After throwing several rounds with this dart, I noticed my groupings became a lot tighter and the flight path truer to what I was aiming at (I actually can hit the bullseye and triples more consistently). If you are a "lobber", you might want to switch the flights to standard size and get a heavier dart (I haven't tried throwing this with a standard flight). This is better suited for "straight" throwing. I don't think lobbing a dart is good practice to begin with.For durability, so far, no tips have broken or flights torn after 20 rounds of cricket (I have carpet, so that may soften the blow). For the review saying that tips broke quickly, its probably because he was throwing the dart at 90 mph, drunk, or terrible at darts (trust me, I've gone through my share of dart tips so I'm just as guilty). Broken tips in no way denotes quality of the rest of the dart. Soft tip darts will always break. They are plastic. Buy a 100 of them. Buy extra flights because they will tear all the time (thin flights last longer than standard flights, in my opinion). If you want to make your flights last longer, buy sturdier flights and/or flight protectors. I also recommend buying rubber O-rings because the barrel will always want to separate from the shaft (metal on metal contact, not just this dart but all soft tip darts).The case is sufficient for traveling purposes. I don't really travel with the darts, so I don't really care much about the case (I have an arcade style dart board at my house). It contains 3 extra shafts, 7 dart tips, a set of 3 thin flights, and a dart tool.Price-wise, The average 90% tungsten dart is around $50 (from what I researched), so I thought these were priced really well.I really enjoy playing with these and I ended up buying another set for my wife. I would recommend these to anyone.

These are great! They come with everything pictured, in a case, spare shafts and tips, spare flights. The weight of the barrel is good and I find that these are just really great darts for someone picking up darts who wants something better than the bar-provided plastic darts, but doesn't need to invest $100 in a set of professional quality darts.I do recommend getting some o-rings to keep the shaft from loosening, as well as extra tips.The shafts are also shorter than I typically use, but that's kind of a thrower-discretion kind of thing, where it's totally your own preference!

Love these darts. We bought an older standing dart board from a local bar and wanted a nice (but semi-inexpensive) set of darts to play with--these are awesome! The flights are super secure and rarely come off/break on us. The 18 grams feels perfect and is just heavy enough for us. Try these out, they are our favorite set to date.

They work great for me. I was never really a dart player but a friend of mine asked me to join a league this summer so I needed some darts. I bought a set of these and they've been working great for me. I also bought a board for home and have been practicing a LOT and have improved my ratings by nearly 50% in just a few weeks. I'm still new, but I've managed to get a couple of Hat Tricks and a few Low Tons in league so far.

These were a gift for a friend who is a darts enthusiast. Whenever I stop by he goes on about how great these darts are, especially because the barrel is so thin due to the more dense metal. The tips that came with this set were superior to those found in the local store, with fewer bounce outs, so we are still hunting down the matching replacement tips.

I’m defiantly a novice when it comes to darts. It took me a few weeks of researching and desolating before I purchased a new electronic dart board and some tungsten darts. After a few bounce outs (like 2 or 3) the flights on these one of the darts stared splitting at the back. The tips seem to be holding up so far but they come with very minimal extras. The shaft has a good grip. Overall I’m not sure how to rate these darts since all seems good besides the minimal tip extras and the seemingly poor quality of the flights.

I was used to throwing steel tips and never found a set of softies that could emulate that feel. These REALLY do! You have that confidence that they are going where you throw them. For real, I threw a ton eighty first set! They're so thin that you know you can put good groups in the triple bed. Can't wait to put the spinner shafts on these barrels. More than worth the price.

Pretty good, seem to be holding up. The tails seems a little loose but doesn't seem to affect performance. Good weight and diameter, fly well. Overall a good purchase.

They have performed very well. Number of broken tips went way down with these darts.

Good weight. Improved my game at least 1+/MPR after coming off bar darts. I recommend different shafts and flights.
