This trash can is great for the price! Don't believe everything you read in reviews. I can't stress that enough. If you want a good outside trash can and don't want to spend a lot..this is your can! I really don't understand these other reviews. People it's under $20 and it's an outside trash can! Yes, it's cheap but it's an outside trash can. It's cheap enough that the little screw things on the inside(that keep the handle on) on one of the trash cans came off(easy fix. You just put it back on) However, it's under $20. If your using this trash can for any other reason than to put trash in, expect failure! It's common sense! You use the product wrong, you break the product.The lid is a bit tricky. You just need to turn just a little one way to lock and the opposite to unlock. Which those instructions are on the can, if you turn more than a little to lock and unlock(which you can hear it lock) than it will get stuck. That is a complete pain in the neck!! But it's $20!! $20 people! And it's a outside trash can.Do yourself a favor, unless you want to spend a bunch of money on something your throw your trash in, buy this. It's absolutely great for the price.

This is a really good can, and has wheels. Price was a little higher than in stores, but I was lazy and ordering other stuff on Amazon, lol. The wheels work good, and the handle is very sturdy. The lid has a twist and turn lock down, so prolly would keep animals out pretty good. But it is hard to open, and make sure you put it out for collection with the lid not locked. The trash dudes wont dump it if they cant get the lid open easy. The can is really sturdy though, I use it for tree and yard waste, it holds up good.

I'm new to the world of outdoor trash can-buying. That being said, trash cans can get pricey. I don't know about you, but I don't dream about using my extra cash to buy super-duper trash cans. So - this seems like a decent can to buy for the price it was offered.Need-to-have:1. Wheels2. Lid3. HandleThis has all three! What can I say, it works like a trash can. It holds the trash, it is sturdy, and the wheels make it easy to roll up and down the driveway on trash day. My only complaint is that the lid doesn't seem to screw on properly. But, it's not a huge issue.

After 4 years one of the wheels fell off (froze in the ice and ripped off when I went to move it) and at year 5 the handle broke (once again, froze and broke when I went to move it, but I duct-taped it, so it's fine.)I came here to buy a new one and it's hit or miss with these; Mine lasted a lot longer than even I expected, and I live in the woods. I guess I got lucky.

8/7/17UpdateFar sooner than I even expected I 'm back to update this review. Yesterday when I opened the lid to place a trash bag inside . A round plastic piece in the top of the lid fell out with no way to put it back in. Even a small hole like this can attract animals or insects. So this trash can will become trash this trash day.Original ReviewAfter needing to replace our Rubbermaid Roughneck cans that we had for almost 10 years; and not being able to find a similar can. We settled on these cans thinking that they would make good yard waste cans if we did eventually find cans like we had.Some times settling isn't the best thing to do, as we learned after ordering 3 of these. 2 of which arrived damaged. I found their lids down inside the can. The lids were badly bent out of shape. Making it so they would not fit on the can .There aren't any Pro's to speak of. Here are the cons I found.~ Lids are made out of very thin plastic around the edges and easily bend out of shape but, don't go back into shape so that they will lock correctly .~states they are 32 gallon capacity however I have only been able to fit 2 of my 13 gallon kitchen waste bags into the 1 can that will lock shut~ There's a defect in the cans I received where the handle is attached. There is no metal pieces. Just plastic clips and handle inserts (4) were not trimmed after handle was attached.~ Too light weight when empty . Easily blows over. It also Doesn't stand up unless something is in it .Over all opinion is that these cans ended up a waste of time and we still need new cans because we don't foresee this can making it through a east coast winter. I couldn't recomend these cans to others based upon our experience with the can so far. I will come back to add when this can expires.

UPDATED - 7/13/16 - After a bit over a year I thought I should update this review. I rarely give one-star reviews for anything because if I hate it that much I just send it back! But garbage cans aren't easy to return so we kept this. A year plus later it is still in fine shape so it's decently strong and durable. And I have to admit that we did kind of get used to the screw on lid after some time and now it's kind of a toss-up... what we didn't know at first is that this design makes it possible to get the lid off and on with one hand pretty easily and it secures well. Overall it's still not the best but I upgraded my review from one to three stars.---------------- First Review Below -------------This was a bad purchase for me. The whole family is agreed on pretty well hating the "screw on" lid of this can. When your hands are full with garbage the last thing you want to have to do is unscrew the lid off the garbage can. The picture looks like a normal "lift handle to lock lid in place" type can. NOT how it works. The can is also not really very large. Tough to fit a full normal bag of garbage in it.
