This product works great! As long as you hit the nest directly and really saturate the whole thing. Make sure you then remove the nest and really scrub the area and spray it again so the peppermint smell will remind them you aren't messing around so don't come back and rebuild. You can even put some cotton balls drenched in peppermint oil and afix them to the areas they like to build to keep them away. It works for bugs on your garden plants and also keeps squirrels and rabbits from eating them. So here's the thing, go to the dollar store and get a good strong spray bottle that sprays a hard stream really far. Then get a large (or small) bottle of plain decreasing dish soap, "Dawn cuts grease" you know the stuff. Not flowers or lotiony stuff just good old cheap blue dish soap. And then if they don't have it there, go to the grocery store or Whole Foods and get a good sized bottle of peppermint oil. It's the more expensive part but it's great. Fill the water bottle with water up to the skinnier part where your hand goes. Drip several drops of peppermint oil in there, enough that makes you feel it in your lungs when you smell it from the bottle. Then add enough liquid dish soap to turn the water color blueish, doesn't need to be a lot, maybe two good squirts from the bottle. Now put the spray nozzle on and tip it upside down and back a few good times but don't shake it. Open it and squeeze it until the bubbles come out and fill the rest of it up with water. You now have every single ingredient from this product only they added glycerin which is like vegetable oil. It's definitely not necessary. The peppermint oil makes it so they can't breathe. The soap gets on their wings and they can't fly, and water alone is enough to drive them out and they can't fly when they're wet. Lastly, get a Tupperware container that's maybe 4-6 inches deep and pour some apple juice in it. Add the soap, but use less so the apple juice is sweet smelling, and a tablespoon (cap full) of apple cider vinegar and fill it up am inch and a half from the top with water. I also use maple syrup to make it really attractive to them. Set it where you spend time outside to keep your pets and kids and well everyone safe. The apple cider vinegar keeps the bees from getting into it because they don't like it but wasps don't care. I fill those things with wasps so the entire top of the liquid is covered. I switch it out every few days, it really attracts them. Don't pour it out close to where you hang out. Take it off to another area to pour out. Buy this stuff if you want , it works well! I'm only saying you can save money by making it yourself, they even say that in a way on the bottle. Unfortunately I have a nest inside the brick and wood pillar that holds up the overhang for my front door step where my medical supplies and packages are delivered, where my nurse comes in and out of for my medical needs and I have to take my service dog out to go potty. This stuff, homemade and this stuff, barely made a dent if at all in the bis huge nest in there. It worked on the other 6 nests I had. My HOA for my townhomes in my major city near Denver refuses to help me with it. I'm not sure what to do. I had an exterminator out here and he said he couldn't do it. It's October 27th and they are still in and out of there but dwindling slowly. I still go after them with my spray bottle and must look insane. That's not far off. I just wanted to give you guys a heads up before you spend money you might not have on something that might not work perfectly. I can totally dump this on their entrance crack into the pillar and they still go in and out no problem, but they hate it and get really stirred up and some die. Maybe this will help some people. But do buy the product if you want convenience. It's very concentrated and works just the same.

Mighty Mint Peppermint Oil for insects is an absolute game‑changer. We recently traveled abroad to an area notorious for water bugs, ants, crickets, spiders, and mosquitoes. I mixed the oil with water in a spray bottle, gave everything a good misting on day one, and reapplied every couple of days. The result? Not a single bug in sight. One of the things I appreciate most is that it’s completely all‑natural. It didn’t bother the cats or dogs on the property, which gave me huge peace of mind. When we returned home to the U.S., I kept the routine going and sprayed around the house and garage — and once again, no spiders, no insects, nothing. This stuff works so well that I immediately ordered four more bottles. Mighty Mint has officially become my go‑to solution for keeping pests away, naturally and effectively.

First off this stuff makes your ENTIRE house smell like a candy cane factory…. Even walking up the driveway I could smell it. Nice and fresh. I would have given it 5 stars for performance but 2 days after I sprayed around the entire house, garage and inside the basement, my daughter came running in yelling, “that stuff doesn’t work at all, there’s a HUGE spider in the garage!” and held up her hands indicating about a 3 inch circle. As I was walking through the house to the garage, I laughed and said, “I highly doubt it is that big and the peppermint stuff probably won’t get rid of 100% of the spiders but it seems to be doing good so far.” As I entered the garage, I looked up to where she was pointing and gasped….yep pretty much as big as she said! I hurried up and ran beneath it to get a 1 gallon sprayer that I had some insect control stuff in, that I had bought from the farm bureau a few years ago. This stuff is very, very potent and more than likely not very good to be around. I shot a stream up onto the ceiling at the spider, which proceeded to make a web and come down then go back up. I kid you not, I probably sprayed a quarter of a gallon of that stuff on him/her and he refused to die. The garage door was up, and when he/she finally gave up the ghost and dropped from the ceiling, it landed on the open garage door with a definite soft thud and splat. I told my daughter to shut the garage door so it would put it outside. Armed with a broom, I made my way outside to the front of the garage door and finally found it curled up in a ball, dead. I am not sure the peppermint stuff would’ve ever killed or deterred that creature therefore I am sticking with my four-star review!

We had hundreds of spiders hanging out on the deck we spend lots of time on during our all- too- short warm months. Really not fond of walking into spider webs. I sprayed this product liberally in the infested areas, watched the varmints try to avoid the sprayed areas. Less than 48 hours later the majority of spiders and webs were gone, yay! Also sprayed in kitchen where mice all too often pop up. None appeared even as the weather grew colder. It even worked in areas to repel ants who liked to congregate near the cats food dishes.Highly recommend this product to anyone who needs to do battle with creepy crawlies and/or rodents. Note: the peppermint smell is not overpowering for humans and cats (probably dogs too) and certainly smells way better than Raid or other environmentally harming products.
