Fewer than 20 parts, not including screws (and extra screws) or allen wrench. Anyone could assemble this. Screw threads well tapped. Goes together right. Cushion is soft, but not too much so. Time will tell how well it wears. Foot rest could be a bit larger in radius for long leg comfort, but not bad as is. If you are much more than six feet tall, that would be something to consider especially if you plan on spending hours at a time on it.

My wife has had much difficulty in getting the hight needed in a stool to comfortably work at a kitchen counter. This stool with wheels has enabled her to have the height needed but also to easily drop down to a lower level to access a bathroom countertop as well. The stool is well made and easily assembled.
