poor solder connections. Should not be listed for over 12v 5.0 amps.
Unit arrived with failed solder joints on the potentiometer(easily repaired)Used to control a 12v 10A ventilation fan for a 3 season porch, worked fine at 50%Below 50% caused my 12v power supply to chirp, running at over 90% caused the connector assembly to melt in under a minute. Was easy to set up but would not use for anything over 5 amps.

Connections
Seems very well constructed except for the connection block. The block removes from the controller and in itself this helps making the connections but trying to put 14 gauge stranded wire in is a challenge. Could use larger connection blocks

2nd one worked
Ordered this to slow down an Electric Cooling Radiator Fan to remove hot air from a media electronics closet. The first one was defective passed a constant 12v even in the off position. Return/Replacement order was easy and the 2nd one works like a champ. Here is a link to the fan.https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00T3TK3EW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

RV Fan speed control
The maxxair dome fan on my camper has one speed and is loud to run at night. I added this to run the fan at a lower speed and it workers great. Very easy to install and works flawlessly.

I would keep shopping if I were you.
This was purchased as a motor speed controller for a 12 V fan. The plastic case is huge, thin, and clunky. This does not hold a consistent speed, very poor quality I would not purchase again.

Not very clean PWM signal
I checked this with my DSO and the PWM signal is pretty noisy but it varies the voltage to the small fan I bought it for. Varies the voltage from OFF then 3.25 to 12.05 using a 12vdc power supply. I wish it was a better PWM signal that I could slow the fan down more.
