Works great, much better than obe from the “orange” national hardware chain.
We had a problem with the door to our garage slamming shut if it was windy, and any doors or windows were open. I replaced our door closer, and it was better for about three years and then it slowly began to happen again. I looked for a better quality replacement, and found this one on Amazon. It had great reviews, and so far it has lived up to the reviews. The door no longer slams under any conditions. It does require more force to open it, but not uncomfortably so. I feared the extra force would increase the tendency to slam, but it is so well damped it does not happen. An interesting side note: I recently stayed in a hotel and the door closers on the room doors appear to be the same so the same as this. If they can hold up to commercial use I think it will hold up to my garage.

We had a little bit of trouble installing this door closer (not the product but our knowledge!) so we called the help line and not only got a live person, but he was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. He had an app that walked us through the installation step by step, then he figured out what we were doing wrong and talked us through how to fix it. The door works better than it has in 30 years!!

Good closer
Good closer. Replaced an older closer that leaked all of its oil out and just slammed the door closed. Works great. and safer too

Used on a busy studio door 6mo. Hangin’ in there
Likes - These studio doors are swinging 24/7, can’t say 365 yet, BUT, our use is more than most. Jocks running for a recording ending hit the door at run speed! These have an open brake in addition to closing controls your used to. 6mo’s, so far Disc Jockey proof.

WOW, IT WORKS SO GOOD.
WE ARE SO HAPPY WITH OUR NEW DOOR CLOSER. I AM 92, BUT BY GOOD NEIGHBOR HAD THE OLD ONE DOWN ,AND THE NEW ONE UP IN 40 MINUTES. WORKS GREAT.
