Wolverine Men's Kilometer Boot

4 stars as I've only just got them. Time will tell whether they will last or not. Half price of red wings and not as tough or robust looking as red wing but at half the price I thought I'd give them a go. Look good and run true to size. Andrew.

These boots are absolutely fantastic. The size fits about a 1/2 size small, so purchase accordingly, but they're extremely comfortable otherwise for fit. The good construction is evident as soon as you pick them up and put them on. The reddish hue in the pictures is how the boots originally came, bu after an oiling they changed to a deeper brown, which is in my opinion much more versatile. They're great boots overall, and I definitely recommend them.

I bought these boots from amazon at a bargain for $65, a fantastic deal. These boots are very nice, quality construction and materials. The fit is spot on and surprisingly comfortable right out of the box. If the black color goes on sale, i'd definitely buy another pair in that color, too.I would like to add that the brown color of the stock photos on amazon is off. The color of my boots are a medium brown and do not have the reddish tone that the amazon pictures have. I prefer the basic brown color over the reddish brown color seen in the stock photo so I won't reflect this negatively in my review.These boots really hit that sweet spot of a casual everyday boot in style, comfort and functionality. Not too dressy and not too casual, you can wear them with jeans or slacks. Not too bulky and heavy or flimsy and light, they offer the perfect amount of support and stability. The rubber sole with the light traction allows me to wear them in the rain, snow or ice.

For anyone trying to pick between the Kilometers and 1000 MilesI ordered these Kilometers on Amazon about 4 years ago now. The reason I’m writing this review now though is because I finally got around to getting a brown pair of the 1000 Mile boots when they recently dropped down to $280 on Amazon... I can’t believe I’m saying this but I strongly prefer these Kilometers. And here’s why:You can see in my pictures that the rich brown color of the Kilometers has held up beautifully (with the aid of oils of course), and I personally think it looks classier than the one-note shade of brown in the 1000 Miles.Also, the 1000 Mile boot in my picture is from before I actually started wearing them for a couple of weeks (and I’ve since returned them), so you’ll need to research this yourself, but the leather is VERY susceptible to ugly creasing, especially towards the middle of the boot (where your foot bends when you’re taking a step). Of course any boot is going to get worn in and “build character” but the creasing in the 1000 Mile is an entirely different animal and it genuinely stands out as an issue they need to fix somehow. Even if you prefer the much more casual look of the 1000 Mile, that creasing is probably going to be more than you expect/want.As far as downsides with the Kilometers, the only “problem” I’ve encountered with them is that they CAN scratch fairly easily, but those same small scratches come out just as easily with nothing more than a brush.I also used to think that the rubber sole wasn’t as nice as the leather sole of the 1000 Mile, but after seeing them next to each other, I prefer the look of the black rubber sole (I’ve heard the leather one can fall apart easily, but I never saw anything like that during my limited time with them).Ultimately if the two boots were the same price, I would take the Kilometers every day of the week. As long as you care for them with oil every few months the same way you would with any expensive boots, you’ll be very happy with your purchase. These things are a steal in my opinion.

Bought these boots and they look great. I will let you know in a few months how they old up in snow and rain

Manufacturing issues made me return this. If you're lucky and get a good pair, the boots are wonderful. Comfortable sole, nice thick leather, and the finish on the inside lower half makes the boots feel really lux. I sized down 1/2 a size and the fit was perfect.
