Schluckwerder Chocolate Covered Marzipan (50g)

I love marzipan and was thrilled to see this brand on Amazon. It was so good and not hard like a rock like some I have bought from other places. It was fresh and tasted just right. Brought back memories from my mom who always had it on hand.

Excellent quality marzipan with quality thin chocolate coating. Especially nice to find and receive quickly in May. Fresh(definitely NOT leftover from Christmas), moist, tender, fine, smooth texture, wonderful taste (not of bitter almond extract as too often is the case). Not cheap, quality costs a bit more. Exceeding reasonable. Getting five makes it easy to share.

The chocolate is breaking down and it is almost all white. Thae bar is HARD and dried out. The marzipan is hard, stale, and crumbly. The product almost certainly is far past its prime and is almost inedible. It is definitely NOT worth the money. I have previously purchased this product and was satisfied. This irder is totally unacceptable and I will not purchase it again and neither should you.

I absolutely love marzipan and these bars certainly didn’t disappoint. Package arrived quickly and bars were extremely fresh (they expire in 2026). Will definitely buy again.

Used to have these as a kid. This arrived obviously somewhat old. Chocolate was white on edges and center was kind of dry.

Way too good. 1/2 the bar was plenty for a marzipan fix. Fresh, balanced moisture, not stale and not melted. Worth every penny for the supreme quality

These are nothing like another marzipan product from Germany that I recently enjoyed. These are super sweet, seem stale, the marzipan is dry, doesn’t taste like quality marzipan. The wrappers say it’s made from almonds AND soy, walnuts, hazelnuts, pistachios, coconut!?? The chocolate coating is waxy, hard, doesn’t melt well in your mouth. I thought the price was great per ounce of product, but you get what you pay for. Wish I could return these as they are not the delicious marzipan I had anticipated.
