This is made out of some cheap material, but that's fine - it's GREAT for play. We do "treasure hunts" around the house, putting small candies or a few quarters in this, hiding it, and then putting little paper clues all around the house. The picture-clues are read by the 3-year-old, and the 5-year-old reads the clues with written words (we just make them up ahead of time). Perfect little treasure chest for fun like that. Love it!

As others have noted, the box is small, and as others have said, the dimensions are listed clearly in the product description, so the fault of not knowing that lies with me. However, I was unaware the box came with a cool looking pirate treasure map and some fake gold coins. I purchased a set of fake coins and gems and loaded the box up, hid it in the yard, and sent my son searching for it with clues and we used the map that came with the box to pretend we were stopping at the landmarks listed on it. It was a blast and he had a lot of fun. It's a nice little box and makes for a cool decorative piece on my book shelf when my son isn't playing with it. I'm happy with the purchase.

This box is cute, and a good valuable for the money. It's not super high quality, but I was looking for something to put some other items in, to make a nice presentation for my gift. I looked at MANY little treasure chests like this before I purchased. This was the best find. It was a bit larger than some and within my price range.It comes with a treasure map and fake gold coins inside. Although I'm gifting this to an adult, I think those added items will put a smile on her face.I saw some other little chests I liked, but when I checked the dimensions, they were all too small. So, before you order, be sure you're getting the right size.

The scale is SMALL! Which when i quick ordered it, i thought it was double its size!That being said, which is obviously my own fault for not reading dimesions nor reviews, it is a nice product.It was well made, strudy and cool!My intent was to use it for a christmas poyllana.With it hiding a hidden gift, but i still can do that, just being more creative!

Bought this for a treasure scavenger hunt for my daughter’s 4th birthday. I wanted a chest that she or I could use beyond the game & this fit the bill. It’s beautiful and could be used as a home accent as well. Haven’t had the party yet, but both kids love it so far. We also bought a bag of 65 jewels to add to the fun. This box comes with the pirate coins, necklace, map, skull ring and compass.

While this is a cute little treasure box, the plastic coins and paper map are garbage. I purchased a set of 3 boxes from the same company forthe same price as this one with the pirate treasure and the medium box is same size. I wish I just would have gotten two sets of the 3 boxes it would have been better deal.

I wanted a cute way to put business cards out at events that reflected the mermaid theme of my booth. I found a gold mermaid tail place card holder (not shown in these pics) and ordered this chest and some reproduction metal coins through Amazon. I didn’t realize this chest came with a treasure map and plastic coins. I decoupaged the treasure map to the inside and mixed the coins together. I’m quite pleased with my finished product!

It was a little spendy for this box, but our son desperately wanted a treasure box and I felt this was a great buy! For the price, it could be a bit bigger but so far he’s been able to keep his crystals, doubloons, treasure map, and semi-precious rocks in this with no problem.
