Totally fine ice maker, just get it
I don’t get why people have given this ice maker bad reviews. Well here’s the thing: I don’t complain about every little thing in my life. That’s sort of the thing. This ice maker makes ice. It comes out in sheets of cubes rather than pre broken apart little cubes. But it’s ice, not titanium, so you can break them apart very very easily. I’ve attached pictures to demonstrate this. The ice itself is essentially cold, solidified water which serves many purposes. I had an ice maker before, and I never want to go back to just relying on the freezer ice maker which sucks. Since I already had an ice maker, installation was easy in the sense that I had a space already carved out, had a drainage line and water line set up etc. But it was simple. It does not make much noise. When you first use it and the ice bin is empty it makes noise when the ice falls. It has a fan and compressor but in general it isn’t particularly loud. No worse than the fan in the microwave or the fan above the range. Assuming you have a spot under your counter for this appliance, you will never ever regret getting it. Btw when you first open it, it’s white. I emailed customer service to see if I could return it and get a stainless steel one and I got a return message within 12 hours very gently explaining to me that the white is just a plastic covering to protect the stainless steel. It peels right off. Even says on the front “peel this off.” So in summary, I was a complete idiot and the customer service was still very kind and responsive

DON’T BUY, big waste of time!
Don’t buy this ice machine! I purchased this ice machine after doing a ton of research and seeing it had all the features I wanted or so I thought! For starters there is no stainless steel anything on this product! So please do not be fooled by the door of the product it’s just a silver plastic veneer. The biggest problem is the DRAIN PUMP. The company just grabbed a drain pump and sold it with the ice maker. There are instructions on how to install the fridge. Instructions on how the drain pump works (just in general). BUT NOTHING on how to make the drain pump work with the ice maker. Nothing on how to attach it to the ice maker, where to attach electrical where the tubes go NOTHING WHAT SO EVER! There are no instructions on how to install the pump to the ice maker and after several attempts I can’t get it to work. I reached out to the seller for help and RADIO SILENCE. Without the drain pump when the ice begins to melt the water just spills out onto the floor. You can’t even relay on gravity. This is an expensive ice maker and I was willing to pay more because it had a drain pump but unfortunately it’s past 30 days and I can’t return it. Complete waste of money and I wish I could give this product no stars.

Great ice. No drain pump. Power stays off in brownout.
Churns out great ice - 80lbs in 24 hrs. Note that it does not have a drain pump so unless you have a floor drain, you need to buy a small pump, which is what I did. Also note that even a small power blip powers it off and you have to manually power it back on, so check it an hour or so before you really need ice to make sure it hasn't all melted out. Not irritating enough for me to put it on a UPS, though.

Not So Good--underwhelmed
Plugged in, added water filter, flushed unit per instructions, made a bucket of ice. Made a second bucket of ice. When I emptied the 2nd bucket there was a pool of water UNDER the bucket which I mopped up with a kitchen towel (2ce). Pulled the unit out to find more water on the floor behind and under the unit. Have contacted the mfr and trying to work through the issue

Great ice maker
Bought this about a year ago and has worked great. For a inexpensive under counter ice maker it has exceeded expectations

The drain pump is NOT installed on this unit.
We got this unit in and inside the ice bucket there was a large box; inside that box is a pump that must be installed. So, I did not install it and sent the unit back. I'm not that confident that I'd get it right the first time, and I don't have time for such a project.

Works great
Installed this a few months ago on outside covered patio, in a cabinet. So far working great, produces tons of good ice. The real test will be next summer in the Florida heat.
