Never slip again!
I’ve been through 5 yoga mats, a yoga towel, and several grippy socks & gloves to keep from slipping during yoga, especially warrior two and down dog. This mat is the only one the works & works well! I’ve been using it for a few months now, too.A yoga towel worked but you had to reposition it periodically. Same with the socks. It would disrupt my focus. Now yoga is much more enjoyable that I don’t have to worry about doing a face plant or knocking the person next to me over, which have both happened at least once before using this mat. And no break in needed! Very happy!

Excellent for hot yoga, Very lightweight!
Excellent grippy yoga mat for hot yoga. I have used Lululemon and Gaiam SOL Drigrip mats and this one easily compares in the non-slip category. I practice both hot and hatha yoga. In hot yoga, you can drip sweat and you will not slip on this mat. Plus, it is extremely light weight, so I love this for traveling to and from classes or to have at work. I still use the other brand mats, but I use this one exclusively for classes outside my home. The convenience of how lightweight this one is, and the lower cost, really make this one an excellent value. Highly recommend!

Sticky!! Updated.
Too sticky! I feel like Goldilocks. I've been searching for a new yoga mat to replace the Butterfly mat that I loved BUT tore apart too quickly. I tried several and this is really, really great for not slipping on it, but when I move my feet, the mat comes with me! I think if it were heavier it may stay better. But this brand seems to be the best quality so the search continues with Iuga.Updated 6/19. I think this is the best mat for me. The other sticky mat I got was so heavy. This is nice and light. Yes it comes up sometimes but overall the best.

Amazing grip and kind to the knees!
Love my new mat! I received my mat with no noticeable odor, much lighter in weight than lulu or liforme. Came with a sturdy carry strap, I also use the sling as a strap for hamstring stretches.I find with normal mats that my hands sometimes slip in certain positions such as downward dog but not with this one, the grip is fantastic. This mat had a nice cushioning underneath that's not too big. Would definitely recommend this mat and would purchase another when this one runs its course.

Light as a feather and sticky to boot! Updated!
I have been debating about what mat to get for months!!! I hate to shell out a bunch of coin and then not know if I’m going to love the mat.I’m a new yogi. I’ve been practicing a little over a year. I do yoga at a studio and at a gym. Hot and unheated. For unheated yoga this mat is fantastic!!! It grips so well. It’s long and wide and just gorgeous.I haven’t tried it for heated, but I spilled a little water on it and it was kind of slippery. I would use a towel for hot yoga anyway since I sweat so much. Seriously cooking butt soup in my leggings at every hot practice. I know you’re jealous. But that’s neither here nor there! Let’s get back to the mat...I got the blue marble and it’s lovely. I often have make up remnants on when I practice and it leaves a smudge during child’s and some other poses. Wipes right off!!! Don’t even have to use spray, just a towel and it cleans right off.Does smell a little rubbery, but it’s not strong and it gets better with each use. I’ve been using about 5 times a week for 3 weeks. This mat is so light!!! My old mat weighed a ton. This thing weighs way less than a bag of sugar! The strap is a nice addition but I don’t love it. I’ll get something else eventually.Don’t wait. You are going to be so happy you bought this mat—at half the price of some of those other brands!8/13/20My original post was obviously gushing over this mat. Years later and you bet, I still love it! I just purchased another. This time in the navy blue. The lighter blue marble did eventually show marks from my hands and feet that wouldn’t wash off. Strictly cosmetic. I have used the mat for hot yoga—and without a towel—and it’s fantastic! But I do have to remember to spread it out so it can dry after as it does hold the sweat. I still stand behind my review. Order this mat. Life is so yucky right now. You can at least count on this being a great mat and you’ll be that much closer to a deep breath and a little sanity. Namaste.

Fantastic grip and super lightweight!
Absolutely love this mat!I'm not a particularly sweaty person, but my last mat was so hard to gain a good grip on that I would often have to grip the sides of it while in downward dog to prevent slipping and falling. Don't get me wrong, it was a different way to open up your shoulders, but I still hated not being able to fully engage in the position. I've only used this mat once, but it was on rooftop yoga during a summer day in full sun: I didn't budge one bit! I'm actually sore in new areas on my shoulders and deep in the glutes because for the first time in a very long time, I was able to fully engage in the yoga positions without fear of falling. The mat is also very lightweight and easy to carry with the strap they provided. This may be a negative for some people, but if you practice outside, the wind may kick up your mat due to how lightweight it is. To be fair though, I saw several other mats also flip while we were practicing, so it's just something to be aware of. I'd trade that any day over having to carry around a heavy mat.The mat does make some noise when you're moving around, but again, I'm happy about being able to grip and I think the bit of squeak noise just comes with the territory. The only downside is that I wish there were more colors to choose from; I've always been a big fan of yellow or orange mats and like to practice my flow on my favorite colors. Basic black works too, though, so this is not a major concern. If I remember to do so, I will come back after a few months use and update this on how it has held up!

and the IUGA Mat is by far the best mat I have purchased and used
I have been through various yoga mats in the past, and the IUGA Mat is by far the best mat I have purchased and used. I do hot yoga weekly, along with other classes, and would always find myself slipping even with the pricier mats such as Manduka (which is totally not worth the money), I would slip within 4 minutes of hot yoga. The IUGA mat, I literally will be drenched/dripping sweat, and I do not move or slip out of my poses/placement on the mat. Great mat, save your money and buy a IUGA!

Super non-slip and recycled/recyclable!!
I've been practicing yoga for 20 years with a very basic mat. Now just started on a yoga teaching course and wanted to treat myself to something special but not pay those ridiculously high priest! Main reqs were - recycled/recyclable materials with super non-slip qualities (my downward facing dog always felt like my hands could slip).Read lots of reviews on this and went for it.Only had it for a month, but practice for at least 7 hours each week. So far it's been AMAZING!The change in texture was a little odd at first but it has now been sampled by several people in my yoga classes and all positive comments so far. Let's see how it lasts...!Will certainly be recommending!

Just brilliant
I was watching this mat for few weeks if not months and toyed with the idea of buying. I asked my husband to buy me liforme for birthday and then this got 10% cheaper and I thought why not! I am so glad I did. It is just like my friend's liforme. The colour is bright and beautiful. I am advanced in my practice and this mat makes my yoga practice really comfortable. Really pleased I bought it. Telling everyone now to get it too

Good matt but top and bottom edges never settled down
The matt is functional and aesthetically pleasing. The textured bottom side sticks well to the floor. The smooth top side is comfortable and easy to clean. However, ever since I unrolled it, the top and bottom edges of the matt remain curled and which causes it to occasionally slide around. I've tried to reverse roll it, with the bottom side facing out but that just caused wrinkles on the smooth top side. I'd really appreciate some advice here.

Jury’s still out
Bit disappointed with this mat, i did a lot of research and this seemed like the best one at the top of my price range so i decided to spend the extra. Plus points are its comfortable, the thickness is great without detracting from stability. Negatives are it doesn’t stay flat at the ends grrrr and it has a faint wierd fishy smell. Hoping the latter two with lessen with use and if they do i’ll update. Oh it also marks really easily.

Finally
I was using a combination mat that was really targeted for hot yoga and I really liked the print pattern on it which made it nice to work out on and was why I persevered with it in non hot sessionsHowever during non hot sessions I found my self slipping and trying to compensate and at times not being able to hold positionsI decided to treat myself to a new mat and it was between two but this one is a nicer colour and lighter.Glady I made the right choice and this mat is sticky and I can hold the down dogs and other positions without worrying about slipping. The ends of the mat do curl up a bit but hopefully that will sort itself outIt would just be nice to have other prints available in the futureCan definitely recommend this mat
