Trust your life to it
I bought one of these many years ago from SMKW, without realizing at the time I was buying one of the best knives ever made (maybe the best). At the time, ESEE was still known as Rat Cutlery, and I’ve put it though some extreme stuff over the years. I recently bought one for a friend. I could go on forever about this knife, but suffice it to say it’s the only knife I’ve ever owned with which I can honestly say I would literally trust my life. That’s all that needs to be said.. just buy it

After a lot of sending inferior knives back to Amazon I finally got it right. Esee is a great survival tool that's American made and will last a lifetime 10/10

Great knife
Great knife, I like everything about it , but can only give the 4 stars as I feel the handle is too small for this size of knife. The main reason for getting the 5 and not the 4.

An absolute beast!
This knife is an absolute tank. Exactly as advertised, brand new in box and shaving sharp right off the bat. I've got the bald spot on my arm to prove it. The feel of the handle is incredibly comfortable in my larger hands and its weight is a comforting feeling. It for sure has heft to it, so if you're not looking to carry around a heavy knife in the woods/bush all day, this wont be for you.

Terrible Grinds
Have loved Esee with great results. When sharpening my 5 for the first time out of the box the profile was a nightmare and the knife was quite dull. Ranging from 15 -25 degrees along a 5 inch knife is pretty bad. Had to be completely reprofiled. Which is fine but I would expect better out of the box. Great knifes but like everybody else their quality is starting to slip.
