Life Changing!
Without meaning to sound sensationalist or dramatic, this product has literally changed my life! I need to share my review so that it may continue to help other people like myself. I have suffered forever with bowl and gut problems. As a very young child I had a prolapsed bowel and then growing up I was constantly constipated, in pain, bloated and miserable with IBS. I've had numerous procedures to get rid of hemorrhoids from constantly straining, which has left me with a herniated bowel. As I got older and reached the menopause, things became 100% worse. I couldn't eat any green vegetables, root vegetables, any kind of spices, wheat, potatoes, onions, garlic, fruits, in fact, my diet was pathetic. All the foods mentioned gave me bloating, flatulence, stomach ache and constant constipation. I have tried virtually every probiotic on the market and non of them worked but my hubby found this probiotic on the internet and the rest as they say, is history. Yes, it's expensive, but so is going to the hairdresser to have a cut and colour and we all find the money for that. So my first month arrived and I started taking it from day one. The taste is what it is. It's not terrible and it's not delicious, but it's a medicine, not a glass of wine. Frankly, when you're as desperate as I was, the taste was the least of my worries. Once opened, it is advisable to keep this in the fridge. I take it every morning when I wake up and on an empty stomach. I usually wait about 10 minutes or more before I have my morning coffee. After one week I noticed a huge improvement. I wasn't as bloated or as flatulent. After a month of taking this religiously, I am a different person. All my IBS has gone and I can now tolerate foods that I haven't been able to eat for years, even beans and potatoes. I no longer feel bloated and I don't strain at all when I go to the toilet which is every day and not once a week. I'm sorry to go into the ins and outs of my gut issues, but I want to give an honest and detailed review of this product. If you can afford this, don't hesitate to try it. It will honestly change your life.

Definitely not cheap, but is one of the few things that has made a significant difference
I have a couple of underlying chronic conditions, both of which can impact my bowels. However, I found myself feeling especially terrible, with a lot of bloating and digestive distress, after a stay in hospital when I had been given a course of two antibiotics at the same time - shortly afterwards I diagnosed with IBS and as suffering from candida overgrowth, possibly linked to the antibiotic treatment. Over the course of a decade I tried numerous different interventions including taking well-known brands of probiotics over a long period of time, prebiotics, anti-candida treatments, moving to a ketogenic diet and modifying my exercise routine. In combination these have made a difference, but the probiotics and prebiotics I had tried were probably the least efficacious interventions of the lot. With Symprove, however, I saw clear improvements after around 8 weeks of treatment. It definitely was not overnight, and perhaps I wouldn't have seen these improvements without the dietary changes I had made well before starting the Symprove. However, about 2 months in I realised that I was no longer bloated after almost every meal, my appetite was far more consistent, I seemed to be having fewer sugar and carb cravings, and I was much more regular. Prior to Symprove, a couple of times a week I would experience stabbing sensation in my stomach; now I experience this twice a month at most. I have now been taking Symprove for almost 9 months, although I did have a two month break in the middle and gradually began experiencing more frequent digestive distress so did begin Symprove shortly thereafter. It seems that, for me at least, the benefits remain when I stay on the Symprove, and only for a few weeks after. I have found, however, that after the initial 10 weeks taking the full 70ml dose, I can then take just half that dose daily and still reap the full benefits. I've always ordered the Mango and Passion Fruit flavour; it's not especially pleasant, but I found that after a couple of weeks I was used to it. A few times I have forgotten to wait the full 10 minutes before eating and drinking, having taken the Symprove on an empty stomach first thing. Nothing awful happened, although I did feel a little nauseous. Given the benefits I've experienced, I've recommended this product to friends and family, including those who have struggled with IBS and Coeliac disease, all of which have reported experiencing similar benefits to myself. One of them had also had the product recommended to them by a Nurse. That said, some seemed to experience improvements in the first couple of weeks, whereas a relative took Symprove for almost 4 months before experiencing similar improvements. It is definitely not cheap, but when looking at the cost of taking other probiotics (some of which you need to take multiple times a day) it's not too bad and for me personally, given its effectiveness, I have found it well worth the price.

Liquid form of beneficial bacteria
I tried the Mango & Passionfruit flavour and found it actually quite pleasant—it tastes nice and feels like a high-quality product. I started with the 4-week pack from Amazon, but didn’t notice any significant changes within that first month. However, since my GP recommended Symprove due to IBS-like symptoms, I decided to commit for the longer term. For my second order, I went for the 12-week pack on Amazon again, but unfortunately, the expiry dates were earlier than expected—not suitable for a full 12-week course—so I had to return it. After that, I switched to a subscription directly from the Symprove website, which has been much more reliable, with proper expiry dates and consistent delivery. I’ve now been using it regularly for the past 5–6 months. Honestly, I can’t say for sure if I feel a big difference, but I know it contains beneficial bacteria and is likely helping my gut health. I prefer this liquid form over capsules, and it’s an easy way to start my day—just a quick sip of something good for my body. I plan to continue using it for at least a year.

Cannot recommend highly enough!
I have been on a Symprove subscription for two years now and take it religiously in the mornings. It has vastly improved the well-being of my gut and I no longer suffer from upset stomach or bloating as in the past. It is ‘de-stressing’ my gut flora and really helps. I take it with me when I travel and cannot recommend highly enough. I’m personally not a fan of the original flavour but the passionfruit option is very drinkable. My children have started on Symprove as well and are taking a liking to it.

A Direct Way to maintain your Microbiome
This product has been on the market for some years. I first heard about it on BBC Radio 4, Inside Science, in 2016. I thought I would try it as an alternative to the readily available freeze-dried products. This is a liquid culture of live bacteria to replenish the body's microbiome, given directly to the gut very first thing in the morning as an easy routine. It is taken 70mls in a measure. It has a pleasant taste of mango, and is easy to swallow. I have felt good taking it.

My go to for gut imbalances
My favourite probiotic. I just wish it was less expensive, so I could buy it more often. Originally bought it because my gut was out of balance, and it's the only thing that actually worked despite trying many other probiotics. Whenever I have symptoms that suggest that my gut has gone out of balance, this is my go to.

Kombucha VS Symprove
Purchased the mango symprove. The jar that says organic and symprove, is Organic kombucha, mixed with symprove. The jar stated as organic kombucha is just that. I understand they are very different strains of bacteria they do different things. However what this shows is that the symprove has inhabited the growth of the kombucha bacterial strains. Both were made in December and left in the same cupboard. Both were fed tea and sugar , naturally I expect the kombucha to flourish. But it showed thar mixing the symprove in has stunted the growth of the other bacteria. Noticed that in the ingredients, it has potassium sorbate. A growth inhibitor of bacteria. I understand this is to stop scoby growth and keep it fresh for shelf life. But it does make me wonder... as it has inhabited the growth of the other one quite dramatically if it is more harmful than helpful ?
