Pipes are bad but sensor valve is ok
Sensor valve is ok as compared to a grundfos valve but the supply lines are of terrible quality. I took extreme care but the pipes still had bends. I removed them straighten them out and tried again but they kept bending from certain spots. I went to nearby hardware store and bought supply line pipes from there. Giving 3 stars for just the sensor valve, the pipes get 0 stars.

I'm buying this as an add-on to an existing system. These systems are great because they allow you to have hot water on demand. I used to have to keep the hot water running the whole time I was in the kitchen, it order to use hot water. Very wasteful. Getting the hot water to start? 3 or 4 minutes, running 2 or 3 gallons down the drain, wasteful. Now the water is already warm all the time.Our water heater is between the kitchen and the bathrooms. The kitchen is hot, but the bathrooms are still cold, so placing this in the farthest bathroom will provide hot water for that side of the house.This is a reasonable value, as an add-on. The original system cost $600, but they are lower now. This IS plastic, but so is most of my plumbing, so I think it is a quality build, it is the same as the original...

Wiil not work as intended
Kit did not contain reducing bushings. Connecting hoses were half inch on both sides. It would not fit faucet connector.

Decent in comparison to all the rest...
This seems to be a decent little valve kit. I have a few of these around my house which allows more water flow for my tankless water heater to get triggered when I turn on the recirculation pump. So far, it is working just like the rest of the units. Closing the valve when the temperature gets up to spec. Hot water is at the tap just like its supposed to be. The hoses are not the highest quality and can get kinked if over extended but its not bad with some planning. All of these types of sensor valves are overpriced for what they are. But this one falls right in range with the rest of them. All in all, i can recommend it.
