andoid auto not working

I bought this cause suppose to work with android auto and carplay. When I plug it in nothing on head unit happens, sometimes it shows up as carplay but no android auto, phone shows connected as android auto in my android auto app. im using Stinger IE268 headunit that has both wireless and wired carplay and android auto wireless or wired. no matter what I do i can't get it to bring up the screen for hdmi or other settings, nothing happens. Very disappointed, waste of money. going to have to return and get something more expensive unless someone knows why it won't connect to headunit using adroid auto!

Don't Hesitate

To start. I have never done a review on Amazon before. I have been through many trash carplay/firestick adapters. Just saying... don't hesitate. Buy this. It's legit. I get in my car, it powers on in about 10 seconds, and I continue my day with fire tv. Do it.

Does not work with Galaxy S10 android phone

I can not get it to work with my Galaxy 10 or my 9 Galaxy Android phone in my Ford F-150

Works for the most part

Item works but there are some flaws. The audio synced with the wireless CarPlay is off by a couple seconds and I haven’t been able to correct that. The other issue I’m having is switching from CarPlay to hdmi and back. I have to unplug the unit to do so.

Buyers beware

Can't update software. Advertises screen mirroring which does not work. First package received had a roku device in it. Wireless android auto works decent when it wants to. Would not buy again.

Android user, both android play and screen pairing work great. you'll need a hdmi to usb A cable, $10. I haven't tried firestick yet but doubt issue if phone works.
