I thoroughly enjoyed building this kit. It was very complex and challenging but not so much that I wanted to give up. The end result is an amazing, working model of a v12 engine and gearbox ~ absolute joy to build and worth every penny. The one downside is the instruction book is not very clear, I had to use a magnifying glass for some of the pictures. Normally I download the instructions onto my computer so I can zoom in but not available for the engine series. Still - a great kit and heartily recommended.

Great in-depth build. As good as Lego, but without the higher price.

The engine has far too much drag and has difficulty turning, this means it only works in the two lower gears. The drive chains tend to come apart which is annoying. The gearbox on its own works perfectly well. Even so it is good to build and looks the part when completed. If you just want it for the pleasure of building it it is value for money. If you want to play with it not so much.

Not sure about this its a christmas present but I know the person is gonna be mega mega pleased

Only just started build still on bags 1 & unable to compete as part missing X2 of the bars & X1 of the other piece shown in the pictures very disappointed as cost alot of money

I do a lot of Lego. I was sceptical but absolutely no complaints. The instructions are really good.

Hatte lange Zeit nichts mit Klemmbausteinen zu tun, hab mir den bausatzt dann als Zeitvertreib gekauft. Ich empfehle vor dem starten alles zu sortieren, dem Plan wirklich genau zu folgen und sobald die Kurbelwelle dann mit den Zylinderbänken verbunden ist, ist eine zweite person zum Vorteil das alles spart viel zeit und Geduld. Ansonsten ein echt toller bausatz wenn der Motor fertig ist und die Sticker kleben sieht es echt toll aus.

Super excited to get this and build it with my son. I work for Subaru so naturally my children love the idea of boxer engines over "standard" My son has put alot of patience into building this just to find out that there are missing pieces. 8 pieces are missing and they are all the same piece. If this can be remedied I will gladly change my review to a 5* because aside from that everything seems great. We just can't finish it without those parts. Really I think it was just batching error or something. I hope to hear back so this issue can be resolved and this build can continue. My son would love to have this engine on the shelf next to his others. Thank you.
