If I could give it 10 stars I would! I was a bit skeptical trying something new but I had the nastiest soar on my nose from it constantly running from being sick and the weather changes. So I was desperate. It took it to almost non-existent in just 3 days 💕🤌 fast acting and it feels nice to the touch. Not greasy or anything just felt light and soothing.

I absolutely love the Basic Brands L-Lysine Lip Ointment! It’s become my go-to for everything — soothing dry lips, keeping them soft, and even preventing irritation or cold sores before they start. The formula with camphor, menthol, and vitamins A & E feels amazing — cooling, comforting, and never sticky. I’ve completely stopped using regular chapsticks since switching to this. It just works so much better. I keep one everywhere — in my car, bathroom, nightstand, purse, and vanity — because I never want to be without it. If you’re looking for something that truly protects and restores your lips (not just covers dryness for a few minutes), this ointment is a total game-changer. Highly recommend!

This is a great product for lips or anywhere's you have dry / red spots on skin it’s very effective I even put this on my piercings when I take my earring out of ears l lysine and camphor is very good at eliminating bacteria with healing faster

Works better than prescription creams, triple antibiotic ointment, or Abreva. I’ve tried them all, and this is by far the best. I’m deducting one star because it comes in a jar, which can easily get contaminated when applying with a finger. I use a Q-tip to avoid contaminating the product.

I’ve been using this and a lysine supplement as preventative for cold sores but I had an 8 hour flight so naturally a cold sore erupted a few days later. I love the taste and smell of this stuff. I think it’s supposed to be unscented but I do get an ever so slight lemon scent. It’s a great regular use lip balm. As far as the actual cold sore went between this and the patches, it stayed in one spot and didn’t bubble down onto my skin like it usually does. I don’t believe I healed any faster than normal as I am day 8 right now and this is where I’m usually at like total and full relief but aftermath is still visible. What I will say is I healed BEAUTIFULLY. My face is usually a total disaster bordering on scaring but as you can see all that I have is a little redness in that spot. I could not be happier with the healing process.

I hardly ever write reviews about products but I needed to about this amazing angel of a product. I have unfortunately been a victim of cold sores since I was a child. The weather is my enemy for cold sores. The sun is my enemy. My face gets sunburnt guess what? I get cold sores. I get them on my chin, my nose, the inside of my nose, my lip even my eye. Its so embarrassing literally and the pain that it causes is unbelievable but let me tell you what. I just got this product after trying so many things to help get relief. I started taking the lysine pill twice a day as well. I have cold sores on my nose my chin and my lip from where my face got sunburnt over the weekend and its been a nightmare but OMG this product literally works so good! I have no more redness around the area the nasty embarrassing crusties is literally almost completely gone and btw I had nasty crusties yesterday and got this product yesterday evening and immediately applied. This is an amazing product and it smells good it doesnt feel clumpy it doesnt dry out and look gross and its also lightweight and you can use it for an everyday “chapstick” best believe I will be using this product for the rest of my life. If you take the lysine pills those also work but you have to be consistent but with this product as well! Youll be set its amazing. Ill be taking the lysine pills and using this product just to be on the safe side because im sick of these nasty cold sores its embarrassing and it makes me look disgusting and ugly. Not no more. Love this product! I works GREAT for my lips when chapped or If I get a fever blister & it soothes it & It coats it like Vaseline…. then skin absorbs it pretty quickly. Now as far as the smell it’s awkward but u get use too it!!! It also works on a blemish & pretty fast for me!
