Peanut butter without palm oil or any other additives. At time of writing the 2 x 1 litre offers seemed to have gone , so buying 2 x 1.5 litre tubs is approximately the same economy. Great value if you love this product like me.

Better value at this size. Quicker delivery. The only drawback was that oil had leaked into the packaging, so possibly the container wasn't airtight.However, decided to try it and no stomach upsets! Tastes fine and will probably buy again.

Best peanut butter there is in my opinion. These giant tubs are still easy enough to store in a kitchen cupboard. Tastes great, nice consistency. You may need to give it a good stir periodically as the oil does separate over time.

Great tasty peanut butter

Tried other Meridian products before, and this one was just as delicious as the others. A really high quality product which is also made from high quality, safe, ingredients which we do not have to think twice about feeding to children. The big tubs are good value, and last a long time. 100% recommended.

This Meridian Cruchy Peanut Butter is very much aimed at the purists, with the only ingredients being peanuts. There is no salt, sugar or palm oil, which tend to be added to the bigger brands which gives them that unmistakable taste.Having loved peanut butter since I was a kid (a very very long time ago), for me this "pure" peanut butter is too pure. I found it to have a nice peanuty flavour, but lacked seasoning so comes across as rather bland in comparison to standard shop bought alternatives.Any chef will tell you that no matter how good the base ingredient is, as soon as you start to process it, in this case roast and crush, it needs seasoning, which will also help preserve the product once opened. Once opened you need to eat 1.5Kg of peanut butter in 3 months which wouldn't normally be a problem for me. If seasoned, this would be 6 - 12 months the lack of seasoning isn't helping longevity either.I would love to give this 5 stars as an small business trying to take on the big boys is a something to be admired, but it needs the seasoning to elevate its purity into something you will want to eat again and again. If using as an ingredient in cakes or smoothies you get the sugar and a pinch of salt from other ingredients, but on toast you need a salted butter, and I tend to have PB on toast without butter. It's a shame.I've actually tried it this morning on toast, but mixing it with a drizzle of maple syrup and a pinch of salt, which really does improve the flavour. Purity isn't always that answer.
