Love this author!!! This book will give you many patterns for the Wellie Wishers or Ruby Red 14" dolls. Very clear directions plus lots of tips!!! You won't regret this purchase!!! I didn't!!!

Fun patterns with easy to follow instructions

These dolls are so popular and sweet. I wanted to sew clothing for them but needed a lot of help. This book provides it!The pattern pieces are full-size. The instructions are very detailed with photos to increase understanding. What's great too, is that you are afforded the opportunity to learn a few things: gathering, ruffles, binding and the value of notions. Additionally, the clothing is child-like and not too sophisticated. PERFECT for this doll!!! I am so happy with my purchase and hope Ms. Politis publishes more. I bought this book on my own...no one paid me for my opinion nor did I receive anything. I am just so thrilled I had to write about this book!!!! VERY happy with my purchase!!!!

No instructions for how to attach sleeves on pg 38-39. A beginning sewer would have some difficulty here. Also, sizes a bit small.

I made the sleeveless top with the ruffle and the pants. Both were super simple to make. I do suggest a quarter-inch foot to sew seams. I also used a mini iron for small places. The book is great!

I purchase from this author on Etsy but decided to support her publishing effort. Although a little more work than her electronic patterns, it is still a good value.

The tips are great and really helped. However, the patterns are not trued, so whern you draft a new pattern they are off. I taught pattern drafting and adjusting the pattern was not a problem. I suggest that you skip lining the bodice and use the premade bias tape. Be prepared to go theough needles. The finsished products are worth the effort. I made 5 outfits for Christmas. I would of liked more opattern pieced. You will need to photocopy the patterns since they are on the front and the back of each page.

I really like the fact they are for a 14” doll as most patterns are for 18” dolls.

Patterns are clear, as are the directions, It is easy to end up with good results.

Lovely patterns, very well laid out with clear directions, which also fit Glitter Girls dolls with no adjustments as well as Wellie Wishers. Really liked the fact they're very easy to customize and with a few minor adjustments (i.e. make the ruffle on the top longer and you've got a dress) and you've got a whole wardrobe of options for your doll.
