Discreet with great sound!
I am a professional video creator, and I often use traditional lavaliere-style clip-on microphones on projects. For quite a while, I have been examining various wireless microphone packs, such as those made by DJI, Rode, Godox, and many others, because the convenience they could offer for projects was highly enticing. However, I have never pulled the trigger on one because in all the videos I have watched that use them, they all seemed to have the same shortcomings. The sound was thin and hollow, the mics were obnoxiously big, and the branding was far too overt for my taste. So when I came across these, I thought they would be worth a try, as at the very minimum, their design addressed my two visual and aesthetic concerns. For the relatively low price, I figured that even if the sound wasn't great, it would still be a worthwhile purchase because the sound would likely be usable for most purposes and could always be enhanced in post-production to bring it closer to what I typically look for. And so, I pulled the trigger. And I was impressed almost immediately. To give them a test that aligned with one of my most common use cases, I used them while conducting an interview. Since this was a paid project, I wasn't going to trust them immediately, so I went ahead and also recorded the interview using a boom microphone—a Sennheiser MKH416. This took place in a relatively large indoor space, specifically an indoor pickleball facility. I put M2S mics on the interviewee and myself. Using the receiver in stereo mode, I was able to run each mic to its own channel on my MixPre-3 recorder using a TRS to dual XLR cable. This ultimately gave me three channels to listen to in post: my $1000 shotgun mic and two channels of M2S audio. I was shocked, pleased, and more than a bit surprised to find that in this particular use case, the best audio of the mix came from the M2S. My interviewee was new to being on video. He was fidgety and moved around quite a bit, resulting in significant off-axis pickup from the shotgun mic. And while the space was very open, the metal walls and concrete floors resulted in a bit of echo and some slight comb filtering from the boom mic. But the sound from the M2S was constant and clear and even with the noise cancelation turned off, their was almost no echo or reverb picked up by the mics. And, to my further chagrin, the sound wasn't at all hollow or thin. It was full-bodied, with a nice low end and a clear top end. With just a slight enhancement, the audio was more than usable — it was pretty good. And while I could have probably used the audio from the boom mic on this project if I had to, it was a huge time saver to work with the audio tracks from the M2S instead. Do I expect these inexpensive microphones to outshine a pro-level boom mic on every project and in every scenario...absolutely not. However, their quality, combined with their ease of use and discreet size, impressed me enough that I have already purchased a second set, allowing me to have a set ready to go in each of my video production kits. They will not be my go to for every shoot, but they have proved their worth to me, and I can see them being a very useful tool on many projects to come.

Excellent Entry-Level Wireless Mic Kit for Content Creators – Convenient, Versatile, and Portable
If you're looking to improve your audio without diving into high-end or overly complex setups, the Hollyland Lark M2S is an excellent choice. I purchased the combo kit that includes adapters for iPhone, Android (USB-C), and standard 3.5mm cameras, and I’ve been thoroughly impressed with how versatile and user-friendly this system is. Compatibility and Accessories One of the biggest advantages of this kit is how complete it is out of the box. It comes with: Two wireless lavalier microphones Three types of receivers (USB-C, Lightning, and 3.5mm TRS) A clamshell-style charging case Windscreens and a soft carrying pouch Having multiple receiver types is perfect for content creators who work across devices. Whether I’m filming with my phone or camera, this set has me covered without needing to buy separate accessories. Audio Quality The sound quality isn’t going to rival a professional boom mic or high-end XLR lav setup, but it’s significantly better than any built-in phone or DSLR microphone. The audio is clean, clear, and very usable for YouTube videos, TikToks, Instagram Reels, interviews, and vlogging. It’s especially ideal for solo or two-person talking-head videos, since you get two mics in the kit. Noise cancellation is built in and can be turned on or off. Personally, I found it slightly degrades the natural quality of the voice, so I recommend keeping it off unless you're in a really noisy environment. You can always remove background noise more cleanly in post-production if needed. Battery Life and Charging The microphones charge and store inside a compact, AirPods-style case that uses USB-C. It’s great for travel and daily use—everything stays charged, protected, and easy to find. I haven’t had any issues with battery life, and the case makes it simple to keep both mics ready to go. Clip-On Design Unlike the Lark M2, which uses magnets, the M2S uses a traditional clip design. Some users may prefer magnets for discreet placement, but I’ve had no problems clipping the mic onto a shirt collar or even creatively attaching it to random objects like cups, wooden spoons, or props. It’s flexible enough to get creative with, and the clip holds securely. Range and Signal The signal strength is solid as long as you're facing the receiver. Turning your back to the camera or walking too far away can interrupt the signal, but that’s typical of wireless mics in this price range. For casual or mid-range use, the advertised range feels accurate and reliable. Final Thoughts The Hollyland Lark M2S is a smart, well-rounded solution for creators who want better audio without a steep learning curve or excessive gear. It’s not perfect—the audio quality isn’t cinematic, and the noise cancellation can be a bit aggressive—but the price, portability, and ease of use make this kit more than worth it. If you’re shooting content across phones and cameras, or need a reliable solution for two-person setups, this is a fantastic tool to have in your kit.

Perfect for content creation.
After seeing more than one content creator on YouTube using this product I decided to give it a go to upgrade the recording on my Osmo Pocket 3, and the quality of the recordings have been SUPERB. I've done some test recordings of an ongoing project I'm working on with a co-host and we were amazed at just how GOOD the sound quality is and how easy the entire product is to work with. The ease of setup and the tiny form factor of the lapel mic portion make for a product WELL worth the price paid. This may not be as perfectly seamless for the purpose as a DJI mic might be (the USB dongle is something you have to be mindful of), but it's certainly not a major concern. Pros: Superb sound quality Everything works without much setup Everything is very well contained in the charging base Battery life has been impressive Cons: The charging case IS a bit on the large side and there isn't a dedicated spot for the wind covers IN that case Depending on your use scenario, the dongles may be unwieldy.

Great solution for on-the-go recording
Overall sounds quality is great, the levels of in mic noise reductions works much better than other versions of lav mics I’ve tried. Easy connection to receiver. Great for using during video recording, most times you can’t even see it on camera. As long as there’s line of sight to the receiver, you can be move around and still have the same level of sound. The range should be well within limits for most uses. One issue that can be cumbersome is if you’re using this plugged into anything that doesn’t have the ability for the app to be installed, you can’t change the noise reduction level or the gain of the mic. One workaround is plugging the receiver into your phone, connecting it, changing the settings to whatever you need, then plugging the receiver into whatever you’re trying to record from. Battery lasts an enough time to for a whole 2+ hour podcast recording. Charging case neatly stores everything (unless you got the kit with the usbc, lightning, and camera connectors which are loose in a pouch). Easy to throw in a backpack or suitcase to record wherever. For the money, one of the better mid-tier lav mics you can buy right now.

Just do it
Can’t say I’ve ever written a review but this deserved one. I work in content and media in professional sports and it’s incredibly important for me to have versatile, efficient and cost-friendly gear I can travel with. I was searching through video reviews, they mentioned these in comparison to the DJI mini mics and the price point was intriguing with similar reviews (and seemingly easier operation). I went for it. Pros: incredibly easy to set up and customize being it’s plug-and-play, great signal to noise ratio, can use far away from camera, design is inconspicuous and easy to use, price is unbeatable Cons: sound is still a little “tinny” as I call it, but it’s FAR better and more professional than an iPhone mic. For clarity: We used these for a project going to a client with millions of followers if that helps you understand the benchmark. These things are the real deal and I’m stoked I went with them over DJI at the price point.

Great choice for the money!
These mics are great! I compared them with the much more expensive DJI Mic 2, and to be fair, the sound quality is not far off at all. They’re not heavy at all, and I LOVE how small and easy to hide they are! The noise reduction is really impressive and keeps audio sounding and rich. While it doesn’t record internally, the on camera receiver and USB-C receivers are quite easy to use and work flawlessly.

Top of the line!
I’ve had these for several months now and they have been absolutely amazing. I have used them professionally and for things like putting a mic on my child during school, events, sports, etc.. It makes taking videos that much better. The sound is so clear and it really takes out the background noise. It pairs perfectly with my phone every time. The battery life is incredible. They are small enough to be unnoticeable on your shirt. Highly recommend.

Phenomenal deal on Prime! Excellent quality and compactness!
One of my favorite wireless mic’s that I can use with my cell phone, camera and other audio input devices! Easy to setup and love that most of the main components fit in the case. I got this at a big discount on prime and even without the discount I think it’s a great value. Very good sound quality for such a small mic and love that it’s clippable.
