Fantastic Mic Quality, Versatile Connectivity, and Comfortable Fit
I’ve been thoroughly impressed with the SHOKZ OpenMeet UC. The mic quality when connected via the Loop 120 USB-C dongle is outstanding—full-bodied, natural, and remarkably clear. If a broadcast mic is a 10 and AirPods Pro are a 4, I’d confidently rate this an 8. It’s more than good enough for video conferencing and sales calls. A nice bonus: the USB-C dongle works flawlessly with my iPad Pro and iPad Mini. It’s instantly recognized as both a mic and headphone device—no setup needed. That kind of plug-and-play compatibility is rare and really appreciated. I also tested Bluetooth with Apple TV for FaceTime and Zoom, and it worked without a hitch. Just keep in mind that mic audio over Bluetooth is a notch or two below the wired dongle experience. That’s a Bluetooth limitation, not the headset’s fault. One last note—some reviews mentioned the headset falling off easily, but that wasn’t my experience at all. It stayed secure during normal use with no issues. Overall, this is a well-designed, great-sounding, and highly functional headset. Highly recommend for remote work, meetings, and media use.

Great headset!
This headset is incredible! I had a tough time replacing my Poly Voyager earpiece because I couldn’t find anything else that could effectively reduce background noise like the Poly. However, this headset performs just as well, if not better, and allows me to hear my surroundings or switch to my Shoks dots or Bose Open Ultras to listen to another device without having to mute one headset to answer a call on another. One of the standout features of this headset is its comfort. It doesn’t squish your head, making it very light and comfortable to wear, even with glasses. I haven’t encountered any issues with it. While they may seem cheap due to their lightweight design, they’re perfect for those who use them for work and regularly wear them for 11-12 hours or more. They also don’t fall off easily during regular wear, but if you’re bopping your head back and forth, they’re going to come loose because they’re not as snug as a typical over-ear headset. Overall, they last all day and I highly recommend them. They’re user-friendly and have excellent microphone quality.

Love Shokz but the Shokz OpenMeet UC Headset is a Dud
I have owned (and still use) many other Shokz headphones/headset and this is the first one I am disappointed with. I spend at least four hours a day on MS Teams calls or phone calls and wanted a high end headphone for my calls. The features I prioritized are: call quality, call reliability, and comfort. Call quality: I have found the call quality to be excellent. On my end, I have had no issues with being able to hear audio on my calls in meetings or phone calls and listening to music. I feel like the mic also works well since I have not had anybody tell me that they had issues with hearing me or the sound quality from my end for meetings or phone calls. Comfort: I see that there are a lot of negative reviews about the size of the headset and that the headset falls off your head easily. Luckily I have a large head (59 cm) and the headset fits me well. The headset does come off my head if I bend over to pick up something off the ground and I can't imagine trying to exercise with it (but that is not my intended use for the headset). I also find the headset to be comfortable and that I can wear it for hours at a time without any discomfort. Call Reliability. I brought the headset with the USB-C dongle since call reliability/stability is critical to my use of the headset. I feel like this is the feature that the Shokz OpenMeet UC headset have failed base on my regular use over four months. The headset connects easily to my work laptop via dongle. And the headset would initially works well during a meeting. However, the headset will produce "static" during the meeting and I would have to switch to my computer audio to continue the meeting. After a couple of minutes, I can usually switch back to my headset and it works again. But after a while the headset would produce "static" again and I would have to go through the switch off/switch on process again. This happens in 30 to 40 percent of my meetings. I consider this a fatal flaw (especially for a headset that cost $250) and wished I returned this product before the return period ended. I will continue to endorse other Shokz headphones/headset but the Shokz OpenMeet UC headset is a dud and one that folks should avoid.

I bought these to replace an Opencomm headset I'd been using every day for work for 3 years - the mic arm went wrong on those. The Openmeet is pricey but certainly a step up from the Opencomm. The quality feels alot better and even the storage case is nicer. Battery is charged via USB C and the life is good. Sound quality is very good an beats the opencomm. Whilst primarily for work, it's also great for Duolingo and the sound is plenty good enough for films and TV. Ok for music but dedicated headphones would be better. The hybrid setup (bone conduction and speaker) works well and doesn't leak sound. The design enables you to hear whats going on around you but this makes them unsuitable for noisy environments, but I'm sure anyone looking at these already knows this. I got the version with the USB dongle which connects with my work laptop easily, and the Bluetooth connects to my personal phone and it allows both to be active at once.

I was surprice at the audio quality on this device. The sound quality on music is not that bad. You can toggle to standard mode (which is good for listening to music) and vocal mode (good for calling listening to audio books or listening to podcast/news). I was not able to drain the batter the entire day, I have 40% left even after an entire day of use. Noise cancelling is aslo amazing on the mic. I have a toddler and an infant thats always on the background. I need to be able to hear them (plus my wife) but my caller doesnt need to hear them and this works perfect. Cons - The Fit - It falls. Altho the headphone is not putting stress on my head at all it falls all the time. I have to wear a hat to keep it on. Not meant for outside use, it will fall when you bow down. USB doesnt work on conversion to phone jacks, radio console, cat5/6/ethernet, the port shoud supply power to power up the dongle and use it as a transmitter. I work as a 9-1-1 dispatcher and it was my primary plan to use this at work to be able to have situational awareness at the same time while dispatching and talking 911 calls. I need to be able to hear other radios chatters in the background and people calling or hailing my attention. But we use radio console like Solacom and this device is not compatible eventhough this is plug and play. I just wish that they will update the firmware or dunno improve the USB dongle to be used on phone jacks/cat5 cable. (Note: I also thried the converter but did not work, donbgle is not lighting up which means no power is being supplied to it) But I will still use this in as my daily headphones. I just love the sound quality and the situational awareness.

What a fantastic product. I’ve been using the Shokz OpenSwim Pro and thought they were great—until I tried these headphones. I work from home in an open-plan environment, and my family often complain that I’m too loud during early morning calls. The main reason is that with conventional headphones, I can’t hear my own voice properly, which makes it hard to regulate my volume. These headphones completely solve that issue. On top of that, they’re lightweight, very comfortable, and the battery life is excellent. I can highly recommend them.
