Mac Book Pro Charger 85W(T-Tip) Power Adapter, Replacement for Mac Book Air/Pro with 13/15-inch Retina Display-(Between 2012-2017)

The product worked well until yesterday, but now the laptop connector will not keep it charging. The charging light will not stay on, and the unit stopped charging at 78% overnight. Today, it only gets power when I hold the cable in the socket, and even then, it only works for a second. The green light is inconsistent, the yellow charging light does not come on, and while the power source is fine, the connection between the adapter and the device seems faulty. It gets super hot! I’ve had this product for only a very short time, and this has never happened before. It’s frustrating to be unable to charge it properly when I need it for work, and I can’t rely on it for power now. Disappointing. Has anyone else had this issue with the connector, charging lights, or the charging adapter? Were you able to find a solution or get a replacement? I am sitting with no productivity. Toggling the adapter to turn green or gold for charging. To no avail. What can be done, only had it for a little over 2 weeks! Still disappointed. Further, I have a dated laptop from 2019, so getting the charger here on Amazon from this seller was very convenient. Best Buy does not sell these older models.

Hi - It was fine until the day it stopped working. It lasted only 4 months. Now, the vendor has sent me new. Harper at no cost to me, it is working fine, for past 2 weeks. It gets really hot at times while charging. Pls be careful, they need to think on its design about hotness. Updated review on Feb 08 2025

I bought this charger for my older MacBook Pro and it works really well. It has the magnetic T tip connector so it’s easy to plug in and it comes off safely if someone trips over the cord. It charges reliably and feels solid especially for the price. The cable is a little stiffer than Apple’s original, but that’s a small tradeoff. Overall it’s a great affordable replacement.
