Balance function? I long press the Type button, but no such function appears.

Long press the "Type" button and it WILL go into balance mode. The display will go into 'scan' mode. Highest cell(s) will be brought down and equalize within a few hundredths of a volt, and then it stops. This unit doesn't 'charge'.

Display is static, does it automatically update the charge discharge voltage or does it need to be unplugged re plugged every time to update?

Plug the battery in, the cellmeter will displays the total voltage of the battery first, press CELL to display the voltage of the first section of the battery, press CELL again to display the second section, and so on When only one battery is measured, the number on the display will change with the voltage change, but our tester is generally used when the battery is not being charged or discharged, so the data results only have a little change.

Will this meter work with Dji Air 2S and air 2 battires

Sorry that cables are not included. Normally speaking, the battery comes with the cable. Different batteries fit for different connectors.
