The Best American Infographics 2014 (The Best American Series ®)

Every bit as good as a Tufte book. My only question pertains to the cover; the small type and poorly-contrasted colors make it unreadable! My guess is, it's an example of what 'not' to do. What is between the covers, however, is outstanding.

Although I was a disaster in statistics at college, I still wonder at all these illustrations of information garnered in this book. A book to be enjoyed for a long time.

Infographics are a method to explain facts and data in an easier format (pictorial rather than written). Who knew it could be so FASCINATING?!

This is a gorgeous full color book with well chosen infographics that highlight some very good (and some somewhat questionable) design choices. My only real complaint is that the perfect binding and thick glossy paper greatly obscures several graphics that make up multiple pages, particularly near the center of the book. Something that could be solved by offsetting them.I received both a review copy of this through Amazon and a final edition. The review copy was in poorly printed black and white with thin paper, which was mostly unreadable, which will probably explain many poor reviews from reviewers who received such copies. Interestingly enough this version had none of the problems with obscured graphics because the thinner paper behaved quite differently. This is evidence of very sloppy book design on the publisher's part. Houghton Mifflin should be ashamed of themselves.

Fantastic coffee table book! Everyone who picks it up loves it—my dad read it cover-to-cover over the holidays & proceeded to drop fun facts on us all week.

If you are an infographic nerd like me, you have got to get this book. The infographics span many industries and sciences.

This is a great book for the price. Really well done. It was beautifully printed too. I'm definitely looking forward to 2015!

An excellent set of examples of how graphics add to the understanding of knowledge and statistics. While there are some examples that will have more meaning for Americans, there are others which are of more general interest and quite startling. My favourite is the Underground Taste Map - a synaesthesia tour of London. Did you know that King's Cross/St. Pancras 'tastes' of fruit cake and dripping?

Infographics shown was fine, not as good as expected.The book has serious scratch marks on the back cover when it was delivered to me.

After finding out about my fascination for E. Tuftes books on infographics I stumbled over this series and tried the 2014 edition - for it sold for under 6€ at the time, new. Wow, there is a lot to find inside the book, interesting facts and beautifully made graphics - partly on topics that never sprang to mind in this context. Solid thank you for this!

Esattamente ciò che avevo ordinato, il prodotto è arrivato con un giorno di anticipo e nonostante lo scorporo delle spedizioni (2 anzichè 1) dello stesso ordine non ho avuto alcun problema e sono arrivati entrambi lo stesso giorno... 5 stelle!

Gostei muito do mostruário e dos escolhidos, mas acho que podia ser de uma periodicidade maior (pois a linguagem é dinâmica e muda muito) e com custo menor. Talvez semestral.Ótima fonte de referência.
