These work great for an inexpensive option with decent range. We use on volunteer construction projects to communicate with our crew. The only downfall is every walkie has its own charging base. We knew that when we ordered. It was a bit of a challenge to get them all charged at a site with limited power outlets available. Have added a powerstrip to the bag we carry these in.

Cruise worthy, excellent item to have in order to keep track of family members on the cruise ship. Communication was key and these walkies exceeded my expectations. Excellent buy and and great to have.

I have a couple of uv-5r radios I purchased a couple of years ago and know that this company stands and delivers with their products and a reasonable price. Very nice for communicating with workers. Easy to operate and very straight forward. It does pick up other traffic, I trust that it's programmed on license free frequencies but I can't verify that. Can interchange the antenna from a baofeng uv-5r. Definitely worth the price , I've purchased cobra radios in the past around the same price for 2 and this is way superior. Decently constructed. Sound and volume quality is loud and clear. Has worked well for me, letting my homie borrow these for a snowboarding trip soon, will update on its performance out there. For kids? It'll work, but they do offer something more smaller and less complex for kids to operate.

These radios are good for limited use cases.DO NOT USE IT WITH THE FREQUENCIES PROGRAMMED OUT OF THE BOX, otherwise you may get an expensive visit from the FCC. All of the channels are pre-programmed for frequencies within licensed UHF spectrum (at least in the US), and seemingly random CTCSS and DCS tones across various portions of the licensed UHF spectrum .The build quality is so so, but plenty good for the price point. These are not super durable radios, but should take the bumps and drops they are going to be subjected to on our 5 acre property.The radios can only easily be programmed with a computer. Supposedly there is a way to copy a channel, but the button press sequence seems too complex to be able to remember, and the guide with directions will never be handy when you need it. My preference is CHIRP as it makes programming frequencies and other settings very easy.I wish the radio had some way to charge the battery via USB instead of having to use the included wall/desktop chargers.Bottom line, do not purchase this device unless you are a US Amateur Radio operator and are going to reprogram it for frequencies in the 70cm band, or are going to re-program the radio to a licensed UHF frequency.

These are fairly decent walkie talkies. They arent high end so you don't have to worry about really hurting them. We use them when camping or when I go out with friends playing airsoft. Make sure you pick new frequencies though since the pre programmed ones are all ones the FCC won't let you broadcast on.

I was looking for a set of four walkie-talkies to take on our camping trips. My prerequisite was that they had to be rechargeable. This Baofeng walkie-talkie set is rechargeable, and each has a charging station. WIN!The setup was super easy. Audible queues to know which channel the unit is on every time you turn the station dial made pairing very simple. We haven't gone camping yet with them, but we did a test to see how far the range is. My wife walked all the way down the block, and we never lost the signal. Her voice was crystal clear the whole way. Since we haven't gone camping yet, the kiddos are enjoying them around the house and in the yard. Each has their own room, so now they can communicate with each other at night. The love them!Overall, I can't be any happier with these walkie-talkies! Affordable, and they exceeded my expectations.
