The Inheritance Cycle is an amazing series I have just finished reading about Eragon, his dragon Saphira, and their fight against King Galbotorix.Eragon was a poor farm boy until a polished blue stone appears in the range of mountains known as The Spine. Eragon takes the stone to the farm where he lives with his uncle and cousin. Later a dragon hatches out of the blue stone making him a legendary dragon rider. Overnight his simple life is upturned as he joins the Varden in their fight against The Empire.I loved this series because it has an amazing world and awesome characters. There are so many plot twists and absolutely NO boring bits. I would recommend this to anybody who likes dragons, magic, or fantasy books. They are the fattest books I've ever read, so you can really get into them. It rook me quite a long time to read but it was definitely worth it!(Reviewer age: 10)

Excellent book series. A rich fantasy world, with plenty of history and unique cultures. And it's clear the author put a lot of thought into his world creation - he knows the world's limits and he respects those limits (it's a gripe of mine when authors establish their world mechanics, then run low on ideas and invent a character who breaks the rules with no real explanation, just to try to keep interest up - Paolini doesn't do this, so any surprises feel authentic and not cheap).I first started this series when I was about fifteen but the books were still being written, and I didn't finish the series. Revisiting them now, age twenty-seven, I think I appreciate them even more than when I was a teenager for the level of thought and craft that has gone into them. I'm very glad I dug out my old, dusty copy of 'Eragon' from my mother's attic to re-read, and then purchased this four book set so I could complete the saga.The books arrived quickly and in perfect condition.

I've read Eragon and I'm in the middle of Eldest. I have found the books to be gripping, exciting and beautifully detailed in description and story plots. I look forward to reading the other two books in the Inheritance cycle plus the Fork, the Witch and the Worm.

Birthday gift, nice set and as described.

I saw the movie and thought it was dire. I read the first book and l was hooked. How could Paolini be so good so young. This 4 book package is the whole story, which unlike Tolkien and Jordan, retains its excitement throughout. The only negative is the end, which leaves you wanting more! Excellent value for money as well.

I recommend these books to anyone and everyone. Fantastic story.
