Compact camera with zoom - exactly what I needed
I'm a novice camera user and wanted a camera I could use for distance shots. Point and zoom, basically. This camera does that and it's compactness was perfect for me. Whilst not all the pictures turned out as well as I would have liked, I'll put that down to user error and not yet reading the manual. I can't speak to the battery life, as I didn't use the camera often, due to the rainy weather at the location, but I'm happy with the camera quality overall. I was surprised that the price did not include a case, but it's been many years since I last bought a camera so, maybe, I should have remembered to lower my expectations. I bought one separately.

Great quality camera
Great quality compact, many, many features (most of which I will probably never use!) but works very well on auto and feels nice and solid construction. Great optical zoom capability, with extra digital zoom if needed. Flip screen is nice and clear. Battery charges 'in camera' via USB, so no need to remove it (unlike my previous camera)

Quality bit of kit, excellent zoom
Really pleased with the zoom and quality of shots from this camera, easy to use from the start. Couple of shots below showing the quality/distance of zoom. Image one shows how far from the stage we were standing, image 2 image capture at full zoom

Poorly thought out camera.
Not well thought out. Poor positioning of flash, covered by hand when using/No evf/touch screen only flips up, useless for street photography/ returned for refund.

Camera is unusable as distributed
There is no battery charger or cable included and they are not easy to source so the camera is unusable

Does not connect to IOS
My wife and I spent a couple of hours unsuccessfully trying to connect this to our iPhones. We went to our local camera shop who also failed. On checking with Panasonic help line, they told us there was an issue connecting this camera to apple IOS, and they were waiting for a patch to be released. Returned for refund as it is no use if you cannot upload images. My refund won’t be until the 8th March which is a long time as they have the returned camera

What were Panasonic thinking?
They've taken features away from this new anticipated model of their pocket camera (ie the EVF!) and there are absolutely no noticeable upgrades in terms of spec. It produces the same quality images the previous model cameras from many years prior did.A massive disappointment all around.
